Our last Blackwell Bake off was a great success so it's back but now with added pies! But unlike the TV show we haven't changed channels or presenters, the competition remains just as hot though and the battle to become Blackwell's star baker has begun. so get planning your culinary delights to present to the judging panel and remember no one likes a soggy bottom!
here are the rules..... BLACKWELL CLUB’S BIG BAKE OFF RULES Saturday September 22nd 2018 We are looking for our champion bakers. So please join in the fun and take part. We hope to crown an adult and a junior champion baker. RULES. Adults £1 per item entered. Juniors 50p per item entered. Proceeds to Charity All creations to be homemade Entries to be brought to the club between 5pm and 6.45pm on Saturday 22nd September. Judging will start at approx 7.00pm. Late entries may not be judged. Whilst we expect children to be supervised when cooking, we would like creations to be of their own work. Adults may enter a single item in any or all of 5 categories, Juniors may enter a single item in any or all of 5 categories. JUDGING CATEGORIES. ADULTS. Sponge or Fruit Cake. (Decoration optional) 12 inch Pizza Savoury Quiche 6 x Cup Cakes or Fancy Cakes 6 x small savoury tarts Savoury Pie JUNIORS – (Under 12 years) 6 x Cup Cakes 6 inch Pizza 6 x Small Tarts (Jam or fruit or similar) 6 x small savoury tarts Savoury Pie
All entries should be clearly labelled with the entry class i.e. for Adults Class 1 to 6, for juniors Class A to E. Your name should be clearly written on the underside of your entry. Please do not use breakable plates or dishes for display. We would hope that all entries will be consumed on the night, after judging takes place, so you may not be able to take your entry home.

love is coming to Blackwell Club, on Monday 30th July it's the Love Island grand final, who will win? there is only one way to find out and that's to watch it all unfold on the big screen in the club! that skimpy swimwear will seem enormous...not sure that's a selling point. anyway, come along, enjoy a Love island Gin cocktail. rumours of a "dress like love island" theme may or may not be true. ;-)
