Lots of fun on the water during our Regatta weekend. Great wind on Saturday and glorious sunshine on Sunday. Congratulations to Team Blue who won overall closely followed by Team Red. Brilliant entries in the cake competition and some spectacular bottle boats. Well done all!

Weekend of fun with fun on the water activities on Saturday followed by barbecue. Sunday Founders Cup races for main and regatta fleet finishing with a pursuit race then prizegiving. All welcome! Click picture for more info.

Blithfield Sailing Club Adult Training 2018. The Adult Training Course for 2018 will be held over the following dates and will cover RYA Level 1 & 2. Tuesday 26th June 19.00 > 20.30hrs approx. This weekend was the turn of our Junior Beginners, 12 amazing youngsters took to the water to learn new skills. What a fabulous weekend where we were blessed with glorious sunshine and wind (most of the time!!) Lots of learning, friendships created and mostly lots of sailing fun. Massive thank you to our amazing training team who made it all possible. A great start to 2018 for our juniors, see you all very soon ⛵️❤️

Laser open report. Great day of sailing

Ladies that launch was greeted by perfect weather conditions for complete beginners this Saturday 12th May 2018. The wind was light if a little too light at times. Myself and Janet O’Connell after lunch took turns helming my merlin out on the reservoir, blasting around at times, helped by the wind filling in, we even managed to get our spinnaker up and keep it flying as we travelled down towards buoy W. Totally enjoyable sail. Thanks to Ester swinnock and Jim Watterson for helping the ladies, ensuring that they each got the opportunity to helm if wanted whilst sailing. Feedback from the ladies was very positive with the ladies wanting dates for another session. Lots of new friends were made and hopefully new club members.

Our Push the Boat out taster day was a great success over the bank holiday weekend where we gave a sailing experience to over 200 people during the day. For more info on our beginners training courses or details about membership visit our website www.blithfield.org.uk
