Blythe Brewery

About Blythe Brewery

Traditionally produced ales and beers produced in a rural setting in Staffordshire. Many awards from CAMRA and available in bottles or barrels.

Blythe Brewery Description

The Blythe Brewery is a family owned microbrewery based in rural Staffordshire. Microbreweries are usually characterised by their emphasis on quality, flavor and brewing technique. The Blythe is no exception.

The brewery idea started in 2002 at a converted barn in rural Staffordshire. Overlooking fields and the River Blythe this has proved to be tan ideal location. Production is based on traditional artisanal brewing methods. All the beers produced are traditional cask or bottle-conditioned. Up to 1200 litres can be produced each week.

Two beers were initially produced but this has now expanded to five all-year round beers plus seasonals and specials. All the beers are named after local people, places or events.

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has consistently recognised the Blythe Brewery awards for its traditionally produced ales and beers. Blythe Brewery is proud to be associated with CAMRA and acknowledges the sterling work of the CAMRA membership since the early 1970s.

Kevin and Alex Dudley are the proprietors of the Blythe Brewery.

Last night at The Junction, Stretton (the tap house for the Blythe Brewery) we had the pleasure of hosting Blythe Brewer!
Blythe travelled for over an hour from the western reaches of Staffordshire especially to try out the range of beers and ales from Blythe Brewery. Blythe has many friends in Stretton, and they prevailed on her to make a special guest appearance.
Coincidences in the English language make for extra special occasions such as last night and Kevin and Ale...x Dudley of the Blythe Brewery were especially pleased to welcome Blythe Brewer!
A good time was a had by all.

... All of the Yoxall ciders are handcrafted with love and care by James Williams and his team, and we are delighted to add this excellent product to our range of crafted beers and ciders at The Junction. Vodka and Gin will also be specialities of the house and of course wines,... soft drinks and even tea & coffee will be available!
The opening hours are Sunday 1pm to 10pm Monday Closed Tuesday Closed Wednesday 4pm to 11pm Thursday 4pm to 11pm Friday Noon to 11pm Saturday Noon to 11pm
The official opening will take place on 7pm Wednesday 7th November with members of Tamworth CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) team there to formally present the Certificate for the LocAle Beer Award from the Tamworth Beer Festival 2018. All welcome, doors open at 4pm!
The decor and style of The Junction has been well thought out by Alex & Kevin and features contemporary design based on a theatrical theme, one of the highlights being the theatre style armchairs which have been ingeniously adapted to be movable to suit different group sizes. The lighting is based on stage lights and the gigantic mirror will give the premises a feeling of great depth. The bar area has a reclaimed look about it and has been especially built in reclaimed steel to a more friendly height, giving comfort when sitting on the bar stools or when propping up the bar!
Grand designs from a forward looking team at Blythe Brewery.
The artwork has been provided by David Walker, a PhotoArtist from Yoxall, and an unofficial member of the Blythe team. The designs of the pieces were chosen to enhance the ambiance of the premises.
Everything is ready to welcome you to The Junction and to tempt you with the excellent range of real ales and beers from Blythe Brewery. You will not be disappointed!
Situated on the crossroads (The Junction!) of Hillfield Lane, Bridge Street, Church Road and Main Street in Stretton. Looking for a landmark? St Mary’s Church is opposite! The Postcode is DE13 0DZ.
