Hi, I collected my new glasses on ar 1610 Friday and had them adjusted on Sunday. Today at 1140, not even half way through my first 12 hour shift since getting them, they literally fell apart when I took them off and put them away in the box to go on a break. They were less than 3 full days old! Hoping you can fix them on site. They might not be the most expensive pair in the shop but that's no excuse for shoddy workmanship at the factory...... look forward to your comments.

I have been a customer of boots opticians for many years, purchasing monthly contact lenses. This branch is gradually turning me off using them for much longer. Rude staff who leave you hanging on at reception with barely an acknowledgement and appointments that never run to time.



Today l was stuck in traffic and had the courtesy to ring and tell them l would be a couple of minutes late and I arrived 3 minutes late to be asked to take a seat. I was acutually seen half an hour after my appointment. Unfortunately l was not offered the same courtesy when l checked in and wasn't told they were running late. I was not told when l called to say l was running late that it didn't matter for a few minutes as they were running half an hour late.



Whilst waiting l witnessed staff chatting whilst the phone was allowed to ring forever. Believe me they have a lot of staff so why is this allowed to happen. A friend of mine wanted to change her appointment a few weeks ago and in the end gave up ringing at went into store to change her appontment. She had been trying for 2 days by phone to get thru.



Oh and by the way, that telephone call you promised me for toady, it's now 5.05pm and l'm still waiting.

Been going to Boots Opticians, Wren Retail Park, Torquay. Devon. Definitely the last time I'll be going there. When I booked my appointment I was asked to be there 10 mins early, so they could do some checks etc. That didn't happen, so a waste of time for me. My appt was at 1.20pm. The optician was having lunch, however she'd eaten her lunch in her consulting room which was small and windowless and, when I was called in, stank of raw onion (as did the optician). After the eye test I was moved onto another woman for some other test (I'm guessing the ones that should have been done before my appt). I don't like to say she looked miserable, but she wasn't friendly. The whole experience left me cold. Plenty more opticians out there, to which I'll go. My husband has cancelled his eye check for next week, and I'll be taking my youngest daughter elsewhere, plus my oldest daughter says she won't go back. Thanks Boots.
