In our recent BvH Awards, Lorna Al-Ani was nominated for the Female Merit and Athlete of the Year awards, a joint Winner of the Teal Targets competition and was awarded Female Team Member of the Year by our women’s team managers. Many of Lorna’s club mates were even more impressed by her amazing running performances when we read the full story of the physical challenges she has overcome, in this article published in yesterday’s Metro. She’s also a thoroughly nice person who encourages her Team Teal club mates along the way! A true inspiration; we’re very proud that she represents BvH. https://metro.co.uk/…/strong-women-i-we nt-from-a-fit-activ…/

It's not all that often we have a Gold Medal to celebrate, let alone two... Congratulations to Barrie Roberts winning Gold in both the 800m and 1500m at the Welsh Masters Indoor Championships in Cardiff this past weekend. Of course, this means Barrie's is the Performance of the Week! http://bournvilleharriers.org.uk/…/card iff-met-grand-prix-…/

Bournville Harriers Men's XC team were Silver medallists at the 2018 5 & 7 mile Midland Counties Cross Country Championships which took place at Bulwell Hall Park, Nottingham on 17th November and four of the team also made up the successful Silver medallists in the Inter-Counties Championships for Warwickshire. The Women's team also had a successful day out finishing in a very respectable 7th place. Well done to all who took part and congratulations to our podium finishers.
