Here at Breaking Bands Festival we are always looking to make the event a better experience for everyone. We introduced our drum school this year which went down a storm. Now we'd like to welcome on board for 2019 WaterBear, an alternative music college based in Brighton. Have a read... http://breakingbandsfestival.com/waterbea r-education-colle…/

***BAND APPLICATIONS LAST CHANCE***
Every year we have bands say they missed out on applications because they didn't know. We have ran the applications for 2 months now and we have well over 1,500 bands to choose from for next years festival. With that in mind, we are closing the band application form in a few days time. So if you know a band that should apply, if you are in a band that hasn't yet applied then you need to get on this as there will not be another chance for ou...r 2019 event which has almost sold out 8 months in advance.
Click here to apply: http://breakingbandsfestival.com/applytop lay/
*applications close Friday 28th September 2018 at 5pm UK time.

Well we did promise a ticket update and here we go...
Compared to this years festival we are miles ahead of target. In fact, we TWICE as far ahead as we were this time last year. The tickets we have sold to date for 2019, when we look at the 2018 festival it took until FEBRUARY to match what we have already sold, that's 5 months ahead!!!!
So with that I can tell you now... 85 tickets and we are fully sold out!!!
... We still have another 2 stages of bands to announce... the acoustic stage and the outdoor stage. Band applications won't stay open much longer as we want to get the line-up complete and then the bands will be wanting tickets for their friends as well so this is already a final call to get your tickets booked up FAST!!!

**FESTIVAL UPDATE**
We have less than 160 tickets left for sale! Tickets have sold much faster than previous years meaning the obvious... yes we will be sold out the festival well in advance again!
Friday 24th August 9am we will be making band announcements (including a headliner) so make sure you put some of your pennies aside before heading off to Rockwich, Beermageddon or Stone Deaf Festivals because Breaking Bands Festival 2019 is one you will not want to miss!
... As its a big festival weekend we have decided as well to slash the booking fees and pay them ourselves until 10th September. So even more of a saving to be had!

WOW! Over 500 bands have applied to play Breaking Bands Festival next year in just over a week! The great part about that as well is there are soooooooo many that are new to us so we can make sure newer bands are getting that change to be on a festival stage to a captive audience. Giving new bands this opportunity is what BBFest has always been about. We still have more established favourites that are making their way up the ladder but getting more new bands, new faces, new m...usic into the festival weekend is what we want! After all, our slogan is 'Discover Your New Favourite Band' and has been since we started.
If you are in a band and you like the sound of what we are about, its not too late to apply to play 2019. We will listen/watch every single band that applies and we will also respond to everyone whether they have been chosen or not. We will not leave bands hanging for months on end.
Tag bands to let them know they should apply!

What can I say. Been every year and started volunteering at the 2nd and will continue.

This is such a great festival, cheap tickets to start with, great camping area with your car next to the tent. (Always a plus) VERY friendly staff and crew. Always happy to help! Great little arena with stalls and food vans, great choices and prices! The outdoors stage has improved considerably this year going from a pop up gazebo (in year 1) to a full blown marquee with a stage! And the sound was just.... Wow! The stage and sound crew are phenomenal at what they do both inside and out!

Cheap bar prices, clean toilets, and portaloos that where cleaned over the weekend! All in all everything you could ask for in a festival. The bands are always great and a lot of bands camp for the weekend. In the general camp site. No us and them attitudes here!! Great atmosphere from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave! It truly is a BBfamily!

The moto of the festival is "Discover your new favourite band!" And that's exactly what you will do. I can guarantee you'll go home with a new band and at least one C.D!

It goes to show how good this festival is when people are buying tickets for the next year before the festival is over! Even with only one band announcement!

Once you go bbfest you'll always come back!

User

Well, where to start?

First off, you have to ask why is it so cheap? It's the best fessie I have been to in a long time - or probably even ever!! Easy access site. Excellent camping area. Ample toilets (portable and normal). Showers. Standpipe for water. A couple or three minutes to the main stage (indoors) and acoustic stage (outdoors). Ample catering which was open good hours. Found plenty of vegan stuff. Very, very fair prices all round. Plenty of seating areas. Good bar. Absolutely all of the bands were absolutely fantastic and very, very well chosen. The organisers and crew and bands worked so hard to make it a good weekend. Loved the way the bands mixed and chatted with everyone, no egos, everyone super friendly. What more can I say, except a massive thank you once again to everyone for such a great time. Didn't want to come home. Thanks everyone. L&P x

Music, Friends and no hassle. Its best weekend you'll have supporting live music and getting to meet very cool people.

User

Last year was great, this year was better. It was a fantastic weekend, great bands, great food from Deli Kat, great beer at great prices. The sound was consistently good and as a photographer, the lighting when left to the lighting engineer had enough white light to get decent images whilst having enough coloured light for atmosphere. Stage crew were their usual efficient selves and the slightly longer gap between main stage bands meant there was more time to eat and see the acoustic stage bands. Camping, nice flat ground with your car next to it, toilets didn't have alien lifeforms growing in them. Superb weekend and I'm looking forward to next year, for which I already have a ticket.

User

It can only be a 5 star review because this was a fantastic weekend. So relaxed. Ran like clockwork. Something for everyone. The main thing that a music festival needs to start with is good sound and the sound this weekend was top notch. Sensible prices at the bar. As a band we, Black Star Bullet, had a blast playing to a great crowd and its these sort of gigs that make it all worthwhile. Hopefully Breaking Bands will be here for a long time to come and I hope it doesn't get too big cos this was perfect. ☆☆☆☆☆

User

I have attended as both a punter and a performer; from the punter side of things there is so much to do, cheapest bar prices you'll find at a festival, great food, relaxed atmosphere... And the bill is always stacked with top quality unsigned acts!

From a performer perspective, you are taken care of fantastically by the organisers and stage crew, the on and offstage sound is top drawer, you get free admission for the whole festival, an amazing audience, great networking opportunities and a prime spot to shift merchandise!

Best festival I've been to, puts some of the big boys to shame. Long live Breaking Bands!

User

I could write an essay I enjoyed it that much.! It is brilliantly organised. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming (it was our first one). The atmosphere was incredible. The bands were all amazing, I don't have a bad thing to say about any of them although a few stood out for me. The bar and food were reasonably priced. I just loved it and can't wait to go again next year. Will be buying my ticket asap..!

User

Great mix of music/bands in a terrific family atmosphere.

User

Great festival! Everything was spot on and I'll definitely be back next year, thanks to everyone involved for a brilliant weekend!!

User

Fantastic festival. Awesome music, awesome people and superbly well run. Looking forward to next year already.

User

Fantastic festival, really friendly people and great bands playing

User

Excellent time at Breaking Bands festival my mates. Great bands. I will most certainly be going next year.

User

Couldn't fault it, definitely one for next year, organising team were totally faultless, very smooth running everyone very friendly and helpful plus it had the party feel about it

Been three years running and the atmosphere is brilliant plus it seems more laid back although it's still well run. There is always someone on-hand to help with any issues where the organisers go out of their way to help.

2018 ticket already bought and the festival is in the diary already

User

Brilliant bands, atmosphere, venue and people, if you've never been put the date in your calendar !

User

Absolutely one the best festivals ever! Everyone so friendly, been to the very 1st one and I'm going next year and so forth! Met slot of people over the last couple years good seeing the same faces, making & have made great friends from this festival! Well done to everyone & all the bands that make this family festival so awesome! Would recommend this to anyone!

User

A great festival, it has it all. Great music and bands, It's well organised, the people there are fantastic, friendly and welcoming (especially to our young daughter). It's great value for money, for tickets, caravaning, food and drinks.

We already have tickets for next year and can't wait to return.

User

2nd year running and even better than last year, facilities great, good mix of bands who themselves mingle with the punters. Always approachable staff and great to see respectable festival goers willing to clean up after themselves. Last year there were four of us, this year seven and next year could be ten + which shows you highly recommended it is.
