Fully DARD approved & DEFRA recognised, the studbook for Irish and European Sporthorses (SIES) has been running since 2009.
Breeders Elite Description
The SIES accepts all horses from EU Studbooks.
The 'Reception Register' facilitates breeding from upgraded or ID only horses with pedigree papers where possible.
The Breeders Elite section is open to only the very best proven performance stallions and mares and their offspring.
BE /SIES will go through life with a new Democratic Structure and more input from its Members. Membership will be automatic by paying £10 pa extra on the first registration of that year. Please see the ‘Membership’ tab on our website.

This year the Scottish loose jumping championships will be hosting the Breeders Elite Studbook stallion grading. All owners who would like to bring their stallion forward to be assessed can fill in the online entry form on the Scottish loose jumping championship website. The show jumping stallions will judged during the loose jumping championship (by BES judges)and dressage stallions will be judged after the last loose jumper has left the ring. All stallions that pass will be due to pay the stallion licensing fee directly to the Breeders Elite studbook. Congratulations to Chris Franks riding the 6 year old "Warrior Queen" at the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken. This super mare was bred by Carl Duggan and is by Warrior (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Heartbreaker) out of Honey 07 (Unbelievalble Darco x Glidawn Diamond). This is the first Breeders Elite registered horse to qualify for these championships, a true British bred horse. Chris was double clear on both days to qualify for the final where upon the mare jumped super over a very big and testing track and held her own over the rest of Europe.
ONE TO WATCH - Vaguely Noble O.L This beautiful young 6 year stallion has certainly all it takes to become a super star. Bred by Old Lodge Stud and now jointly owned by Jake Saywell and George Whitaker and graded Breeders Elite "Licensed". By Corland (Cor de la Bryere x Landgraf I) out of a mare by Chin Chin x Voltaire.
Good luck to Christopher Franks riding Warriors Queen at the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken Belgium starting today. This 6 year mare is bred by Carl Duggan and is by Warrior that was produced by Brendon Stud and Louise Pavitt. The dam of Warrior Queen is Honey 07 who was by Unbelievable Darco out of an Irish mare by Glidawn Diamond (King of Diamonds). This is the first Breeders Elite registered horse to represent the Breeders Elite Studbook for great Britain at these World Championships. Congratulations to breeder Carl Duggan.

We are excited to announce that the stallion "Arena UK Winston" formely NPS Winston in recognition of his International winnings has been upgraded to "Approved" with Breeders Elite. This stallion bred by Brenda Morelli of New Priory Stud was formerly graded by Henk Minderman in 2013 as Licensed so we are very pleased that new owner Ellen Whitaker has transferred over to us. This 9 year old eye catching talented stallion is by Waldo Van Dungen out of a mare by Hamilton Tropics x Joyrider.

The Hartpury Summer Spectacular 2018 was a true success, 1200 rounds jumped over the three days, which included an area trial and young horse classes. The young horse classes were well attended and riders appreciated the inviting tracks built by Paul Connor & his team. With the sun shining, light atmosphere and a good audience it has been a great few days. We would like to thanks our sponsors, Shaw Farm Stud, Edwards Equestrian and Renkum Stud and also the organisers for maki...ng it happen. Look forward to 2019!

For the 2nd year running, we are very pleased to be involved with the Hartpury Spectacular 2018. Not only are there age classes for young horses there is everything from 85cm to an International trial. The age classes are kindly sponsored by Shaw Farm Stud, Breeders Elite, Edwards Equestrian and Renkum Stud. On championship day there are rugs for the winners and saddle cloths for the highest place British bred horses. The age classes are open to all horses. Last year the show had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere with some exceptional jumping, we look forward to seeing you there.
