This has been one of the best places I’ve experienced for amazing customer service me and my boyfriend will definitely be returning thank you for a wonderful evening and a special thank you to both Gemma who took time out to engage with us and made us feel welcome, haven’t had this in a very long time and we eat out at MANY places and also thanks to the young girl with the gorgeous dark lipstick, please make sure this feedback is passed on!

Much improved since we stopped going there a year ago.

I hated the fact that you couldn't sit where you wanted and had to wait to be seated. Thank goodness they ditched that idea.

The staff were polite, attentive and helpful, really enjoyed the food too. Will definitely be back now the food and service has been fixed.

I enjoy coming here it's a nice place and the staff are lovely. I enjoy their new vegan burger and their large choice of food on the menu.

It's a very family friendly place to visit and my son also enjoys the wacky that is there.

Any issues i have ever had has been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I dont often leave reviews but i have to say what a brilliant member if staff you had on duty today in the children's play area. My son attended a biryhday party and has lots of food allergies , and the lady was really helpful with his menu choices. She said she has a nut allergy herself, and therefor trained to use an epi pen. Today was the 1st time I left my son at a party as always worried about anaphylaxis. Your member of staff really went above and beyond. I really hope she gets some recognition.

Having eaten here many times, we decided to book for today (Christmas - yay!) for the first Christmas meal we’ve ever eaten out.

An absolute pleasure from start to finish, and we can’t thank Rob and the team enough for everything.

The play area was free, which kept my nephews entertained (and gave us the odd bit of adult conversation!). One of my nephews has a dairy allergy, and the team fully accommodated for his needs which was fantastic on what should have been a set meal.

The little touches were amazing, as well as the service throughout.

It was an absolute joy to see staff enjoying their shift at a time when most people would probably prefer to be at home.

The staff were amazing throughout - we saw numerous staff members fetching meals from the carvery for those who would have struggled to do it themselves, and we saw lots of guests being gently escorted wherever they needed to go.

The food was absolutely stunning (as always), but the real winner was the family atmosphere. The staff clearly love their jobs, which creates such a relaxed atmosphere. It was lovely to spend such an important time of year in such a relaxed manner!

We really can’t thank you all enough, and this visit has definitely started a new tradition for Christmas dinner!

A massive thanks to Rob and the team - Merry Christmas! xxx

Food was excellent and plenty of it. Staff was very polite and helpful even though they was short staffed would definitely go back again 😊

User

Brilliant evening, enjoyed by the whole family. As a party of 8 the staff went out of their way to accomodate us (hadnt pre booked) and our waiter Scott, was the most helpful & polite member of staff...he went out of his way to make sure we were happy, including our two children (aged 2 & 4) The food came out in good time and was cooked really well! My brother was too busy feeding his 2 year old to notice his tea has gone cold...without asking, fresh chips and eggs were given to him! Brilliant service! Best Brewers Fayre we have been to!

User

Always great food and friendly staff. A great place for a family meal or a special couple's evening meal.

User

After a previous bad experience here and the fact I couldn’t get in the Shire I reluctantly went back for the husband’s 50th. I needn’t have worried - what a complete change - all the staff were excellent and went over and above with decorating the table etc. The prices and food were really good. Definitely recommended thank you

User

Faily quiet but very comfortable.. good service! Nice to see staff taking the time to support staff who were training . Menu offers were well explained to us which was a bonus . Good easy access, which is important as my husband is disabled !! Only down side the disabled loo wasn’t very clean .. maybe need to be checked more frequently!

User

service was slow at 1st , but got better as we saw manager come on duty. sorry but just saying

User

The food was ok, but the service was so bad on 1/01/2018.

Was only one Pearson on the bar at 5:30pm and it was so busy at that time. The young gilt behind the bar seemed to be more interested in talking to her friends then serving the customers? When pubs seem to be struggling to survive these days, I think management need to get on top of things, sooner rather than later!

User

Food was okay, had to send steak back as was majorly overcooked. I mean a burnt steak when ordered blue. Was told the chef wasn't going to send out a steak when it's not reached 80°. So a chef... who don't know what blue or rare is!. Then children wanted to play in kids play area and was told it's £3.00 per child for an hour. Never been charged at any other BF for a play area.

User

Came here with my friend this evening to get a chocolate fudge cake as the holmecroft had stopped serving. I found out when I arrived that they didn't sell chocolate fudge cake, like who doesn't sell chocolate fudge cake? Like seriously? Anyhow, I went for the chocolate brownie instead and my friend ordered chips and the combo feast (which has been on the menu since the dawn of time, from when we worked there 14 years ago!) Didn't realise that they put the combo platter through instead though.

I'm glad I didn't want any proper food, as the vegetarian options are really poor, but this has always been an issue here. Also, who wants a sweet potato lasagne?

While waiting for food, my friend Jodie needed a poop, so headed off the bar toilets but the ladies where out of order, and the disabled toilet looked like Bobby sands had just been in there having a party. Luckily the toilets near the fun factory (or whatever it's called these days) were ok ish.

When the food came they had forgotten the chips, which was a good thing as the combo was too big, which was fine as my friend couldn't eat the chicken on sticks, as even a dog would have struggled to chew through the rubbery texture.

We were refunded the money for the chips, so there wasn't any major issues, and the brownie was nice.

Plus side, free crayons, however they broke :(

What a disappointment having said to are kids we can go for dinner and they can play after we went the week before.

We travelled 10 miles got out on the car park and went into the pub at 5.00.

We then waited for the host to arrive who asked if we had booked as only taking bookings no we had not as we had been the previous week and walked straight in and sat.

If you have not booked it's a 3 hour wait for a table?????

3hours for a table..

We left with a very upset girl and boy.

I decided to phone the pub only to be told we could have a table within 30mins.

Obviously the host did not have a clue what he was doing I expect a 3 hour wait if going to a 4 star rest.but a pub you should be able to walk in possbly wait 20 mins for the food to come out having a 3 hour wait on tables what was the wait on food.

We made our way to catch 10 min wait for a table food was great.

Would I visit again prob not and would mention to anyone who has not booked don't go in on the off chance as they won't sit you..

User

Well as we decided to book late and wanted somewhere for the kiddies to play for a hour, we decided to book here. My sister to phoned to book and someone on the phone had said the wackey was free, anyway we arrived there just at 12 and our table was booked for 12 we were stood at the door for 5 minutes without anyone coming to ask or offer service the manager then came along and said if you can wait there your table isn’t ready yet so just wait here till we call you over we then asked if the children could go and play and he said erm one second then decided they could, all of the kids all went in and 2 were refused which meant the others didn’t want to play without them because 2 of them were slightly over the height limit! I understand it’s safety but if we knew the rules and the height limit when we phoned we could have chosen somewhere else. Then we ended up with unhappy kids which were excited to go and play and then be refused anyway. But the worst thing is it actually cost £3 per child for 1 hour and a half... so after all the excitement it weren’t any fun anyway.

We also then after the children being refused 16 of us were still stood by the bar waiting to be told were to sit and then we sat down after 10 minutes of waiting and then we went to the bar which took another 5 minutes for any of us to get served. Honestly such a poor service!!!

The manger then went around each and every table to offer drinks, ask if people were happy and welcomed them he did not once come to our table or offer anything or to see if we were happy with meals... we seen a couple of staff taking drinks to other tables around us and offering if they wanted more drinks to call them over.

Not one staff member apart from one girl come to us and she was possibly the loveliest & helpful out of them all. We did tell her how we felt about how we treated and she even apologised for how we had a bad service. She will also no we are on about her as we thanked her for being kind and serving us as we needed.

Wouldn’t recommend at all no organisation no manners.

Sunday 30th

Seen busier locations so not to pleased that I had to wait over 15 minutes to get a drink then another 15 minutes to order food. I asked the same waitress twice on passing if someone was serving she replied "somebody would be out in a minute " both times I asked, almost like a recording. To top it off food came it was cold and the carpets were dirty in the dining areas

Won't be returning to this location

If anyone’s considering working here don’t they underpay you and lie about your tips I’ve been underpaid by a lot I tried to resolve the issue and the general manager rob Buchanan wouldn’t answer my questions and blocked me on Facebook so I can’t resolve the issue WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WORKING HERE

User

I certainly hope that the senior management of Brewers are pleased with the way the manager at the Brewers at Redhill treats people . He gave my Grandaughter a trial told her she had got the job as he was very pleased with her discussed wages and told her he would email her what shifts to work, so she gave her job up at another restaurant . Only for him to mail her saying there were now no vacancies so now she has no job, and he wont take phone calls from her .How are young people expected to build up the confidence to apply for these types of vacancies when faceless cowards like Robert treat them as less than worthless and destroy there self esteem. I sincerely do hope you get treated like this one day yourself so you know exactly how she is feeling , we now have to reassure her that she has done nothing wrong and its people like him that are the problem not her. So Robert lets hope you get what you deserve some day soon.

User
