Bromsgrove And Catshill Libraries Description

Bromsgrove Library is a busy community library. The library offers not only books but also stories on CD and cassette, foreign language tapes and DVDs, for adults and children. Membership is free and open to everyone, of all ages.

The library has 25 public computer terminals, which can be used to access the internet, and also for Microsoft Office applications. One terminal has Dolphin software for the visually impaired. There is also a colour printer and a scanner attached to a terminal. The library has a collection of reference books, always there for consultation. A selection of daily papers and weekly and month magazines are taken.

WiFi provision now available at Bromsgrove Library.

A vending machine provides a selection of hot drinks.

Can you find pictures of Elmer and his friends hiding at Catshill Library and at Bromsgrove Library too? We're celebrating Elmer Day. Happy 30th Birthday Elmer! There are free activity packs to be claimed when you have found Elmer and his friends (available whilst stocks last). Catshill Library is open 9.30am - 12.30pm and Bromsgrove Library from 10am - 4pm. There's time for an impromptu storytime at Catshill Library - join us at 11.30 for 'Elmer and the Tune'.

Congratulations to the winners of the Easter lego building competition at Catshill Library in first picture . The other pictures show all the great things the children have been making in the monthly Lego in the Library sessions at Catshill Library. Sessions are monthly on a Tuesday - spaces limited so contact the library to book a place.

Dementia Action Week organised by the Alzheimer’s Society takes place from 20th - 26th May.
The Dementia Friends initiative provides an understanding of what it’s like to live with the condition and actions that will make a difference. If you would like to become a Dementia Friend there are FREE sessions taking place in Bromsgrove and Redditch community venues including Libraries. Each session lasts about 45 minutes.

We have two poetry events coming up at Bromsgrove Library. Offa's Press are running a workshop on 8th June for published and unpublised poets. Jo Bell will be here to read from her work on 18th July in partnership with WORDS Bromsgrove as part of the Bromsgrove Festival.

Elmer is 30. Bromsgrove and Catshill Libraries will be celebrating Elmer Day on Saturday 25th May. Why not wear your brightest clothes and help turn the nation patchwork!

Our next storytime at Catshill Library (B61 0JW) is on Saturday 4th May at 10.30am. We will be reading stories featuring Peppa Pig. There will be colouring and simple craft activity afterwards.There's no need to book in advance and everyone is welcome. Catshill Library is open from 9.30 until 12.30pm each Saturday.
