Went this evening 28 Feb ,table of 4, to be honest we couldn’t fault it, food was good and service was very attentive without being too much.

The early evening menu choice is fairly good, with an excellent cross section of options ant a very responsible price.

We shall return soon to sample a bit more of the menu!

Well. That was the best cooked and value for money breakfast we’ve had in a long time. Full English came superbly cooked with tea and fruit juice. Service excellent so 10/10 folks. Well done 👍

User

Such a great place, nothing was too much to ask for and staff really attentive. Food was delicious. We’ll be back!

User

Simply amazing food, and lovely atmosphere. I’d go as far to say this is one of, if not THE best restaurant in Shrewsbury now. Absolutely loved it!

User

My first visit to Cote in Shrewsbury was a very positive one. Both the food and wine were excellent, with prices very reasonable for the quality and taste experienced on the night. A little more expensive than the other main French restaurant in town but like I say the quality and taste of the food was excellent. The service on the night was even better and we couldn't have asked for more (polite, attentive, helpful and timely). Will definitely be visiting again. Only one small point is the 12.5% gratuity automatically added to the bill. Granted, it is not compulsory and you can have it removed, however we felt that it pressurises the customer somewhat.

User

Love this place! Ive taken my little girl here for brunch after baby ballet a couple of times now and from the outside it doesn’t look particularly child friendly but the staff really couldn’t be anymore accommodating! Within two minutes of sitting down my little one has a high chair, colouring book/ crayons, and plastic cutlery and the food is amazing to. I leave a small tip on top of gratuity because the service is always so amazing thank you! X

User

Just had lunch here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. First class meal and service. Can thoroughly recommend. We’ll be back very soon. One of our party left their phone on our table and by the time we were back at the car we had received a message from the restaurant advising us. The phone was locked safely away until we returned for it. So impressed with them!

User

I lived in France for 17 years and my meal last week at Cote brought all those memories flooding back. Gorgeous frise aux lardons salad and best creme caramel I've had for ages - although a crispy bit on top would have made it even better

User

I cant imagine there are many people that have eaten here as much as myself. Every visit is spot on. The staff are what make the place for me, they are always super attentive, friendly and have just the right amount of interaction. They are also very kind as proven by heir manager last weekend when I was handed a free Confit De Canard having only enquirer whether or not is was for sale! The very few issues I’ve ever had with the food have been efficiently resolved and I have always left happy. The prices are spot on and the food quality is well above average. 12+ visits this year and no complaints from me!

User

Excellent service. Fantastic gluten free selection. Eaten Breakfast and evening meal here today.

User

Been here a few times for breakfast which is always perfect! Staff are lovely too. We will be back again :-)

User

Amazing food and service. Husband had steak with roquefort butter and hasn't shut up about it yet! My duck was to die for. Creme caramel blew our minds and wine was lovely. Will definitely go back soon.

User

Absolutely love eating here! Staff (particularly morning staff) are brilliant, so friendly and welcoming! The food is always perfect and fresh! The best place in town for breakfast. Can’t rate this place high enough, thank you!

User

A lovely evening, June 1st, made even better by our fab waitress, Cecily. Only 17 years old, and only 4 weeks into the job. Well trained and a great ambassador! Thank you

User

A fantastic restaurant in a brilliant location. We sat in the lovely sunshine today enjoying amazing food with great service. The belly pork my wife had was stunningly tasty and my seafood linguine was fresh and perfectly cooked. The service throughout was impeccable and we will be back.

User

Went whilst having a stay in Shrewsbury this week. Lovely meal, so happy to see a gluten free menu with lots of choice. By then we'd had a couple of drinks in other places so never noticed if there was a gratuity fee but that is so unfair the prices are high without it, this would put me off returning in the future.

User

Food & service as usual was excellent but the service charge added to the bill really annoys me if I want to tip I want to make the decision as to how much and if it is worth it

User

Lovely food, maybe a little bread on all tables before the meal, just like they do in France! Also I wasn’t impressed with sitting next to a lamp covered In dust and all the sides where dusty too, most of it went into my water glass which wasn’t very pleasant, I think the cleaner needs explaining what cleaning means! But thanks for a lovely meal and great service!

User

Lovely food and ambient atmosphere. Second time we've been and I managed to spot the extortionate added gratuity the first time, but because we were a large party splitting the bill last night it got overlooked. Beware of this it is quite a lot they discretely add on.
