Ok so we are sat here with THE Captain to make a plan of action. More positives to follow soon. ONE LOVE! Ō£īŌØż
Sorry to say we are now closed until further notice due to personal and family reasons.
Test our British Asian yet authentic take on a Vegan or Vegetarian Scrambled eggs and beans, this time on toast, not naan.
We are also doing Indian Toasties like we make at home. Can't wait to see your happy faces.

Vegan Thali - Soya Chunks, Chunna Masala, Tofu Bhurji.
Vegetarian version includes - Mattar Paneer, Chunna Masala, Paneer Bhurji
Both made with love and respect by The Captain's Son under the Commander's (mum's) mentorship.
Dishes made fresh, made often, makes for an excuse to cook and keeps wastage down to pretty much zero.
We have only thrown away one take away size box of daal and that hurt. Sorry mum.
Also a little secret. We are about to test some fusion food tomorrow. Please do pop in for lunch or dinner for a menu that's exclusive to tomorrow only. The things everyone lives the most might make it to our launch menu.

Guess who is open all week for lunch and dinner. Yes! The Captains crew! Thanks to the captain, his captain (mum), Imy and Vedant we are opening all week from today to see which days are best.
ŌØż In the pictures we have a single small, light lunch / kids Thali which is only ┬Ż6.50. Ō£īThe most popular single large, is at pre launch price of only ┬Ż9.90. That much healthy food for only a tenner? Yes. ŌśĀ No Alcohol or Meat on site. Ever.

Ok. Great day:
- Mum #3 cooked aloo Gobi for mum #1. - Dav fixed our leak and ceiling. - We may have worked out a way to open quicker.... - The beginnings of an outdoor restaurant and beautiful people passing through a closed restaurant.
Pirate Pav also invented a British Asian - mum style Punchy Punjabi Beans, or Lentils, on Toast. Yes that's a British bloomer. That's also Damon and Laura. Two favourite guests and new Tai Chi friendsŌ£īŌØż

The best Indian food I've ever tasted. The staff are so kind and make you feel like you're at home instead of at a restaurant.
So glad this place has opened in Leamington! Great vegetarian food, great value, and a very friendly welcome. I had a delicious lunch here and will be coming back with friends as soon as possible.
Popped in the other week as I noticed this place had recently opened.
The staff made me feel right at home and the delicious indian food made me feel right at my nan's.
Real authentic Indian food, with a hearty atmosphere and cool decor.
Definitely reccomend it and I wish everybody there all the best success.
Me and my friend went here today for breakfast AND lunch and we absolutely loved it. The food was incredible, and clearly made both with skill and love. The best thing, however, was that we were made to feel part of the family there. This is an absolute gem of Leamington; we are lucky to have this cafe.
Love the food, the welcome, the relaxed atmosphere, rhe fact that whoever is on the plate is clearly made with love from traditional recepies, and also what comes on the plate comes with an explanation from Pav. Really excited about this place, I hope it does really well... Will definitely be bringing others :)
ItŌĆÖs a good place to work ’┐Į
The team is really friendly !
I recommend the chickpeas and the lentils, really good food !
It might be amazing. Who knows because although we made a specific trip from stratford to leamington today and checked that it would be open, google said it was open 11am till 10pm. We got there at roughly 2pm and it was completely shut up. Captain ken you need to sort this out.
I'd go back here just because the staff were so nice and welcoming, but the food was amazing too, definitely recommend the vegan options
Had an amazing, tasty and wholesome vegan thali at the weekend - best pre-gig food I've had in a long while! Friendly welcome and you get the impression that they really care about the food the are serving. Thank you very much :)
Had an amazing Thali from Captain Ken and his team.
The saag paneer was rich and creamy, the dahl was the perfect spice and the madras chicken was juicy with plenty of sauce.
The staff were really friendly and explained each of the dishes that I'd be getting to me as I drank one of their excellent coffees. Can't wait to go back and eat more.
Great little discovery! My partner and I were walking past looking for a coffee. We stopped to look in as we'd never noticed this place before. They'd shut, but Pav unlocked the door and welcomed us in anyway. Great coffee (care of barista Matt) and as we were leaving they offered us chickpea thali trays with paneer, lime pickle, yogurt and chapati. Absolutely delicious! Both Pav and Matt were so friendly, chatting away to us throughout and we felt really welcome despite the fact they'd already closed. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who likes coffee, chickpeas or friendly service. Cheers guys!
Great first impression at Captain Ken's! I had never tried Thali before, so I asked what it was, and the staff explained each part of the meal to me. Got a really nice selection of dishes - spicy soy, chickpeas, rice with vegetables and chapati. Even as a non-vegan, the dish did not disappoint.
Very good meal, great staff and a great-looking caf├®. I'll eat here again! Also, I had never tried 'Lemca' before. Lemonade with a peppery twist? Nice!
Discovered this great place last week whilst walking around looking for food one evening, excellent food (aloo/paneer) and the best naan I've had in a while! Good to know there's a place that serves solid Indian fare in Leamington now, will defo be back :)
Delicious take out chicken curry and a side of chickpeas. Tasted home made and authentic. We will be back !
Awesome food! We ate a great lunch and the hospitality was just as good as the food. Felt like you were being invited into PavŌĆÖs (admittedly very cool looking) home and cooked for as a friend. CanŌĆÖt wait to go back!
Awesome atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent food ’┐Į & the sofas well comfy too ’┐Į
Really enjoyed trying something different, proper tasty & healthy too!
Authentic fresh home-made Cheap vegetarian Thali place. Authentically spiced too! Served by Vedand who made us feel most welcome. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends and family
Absolutely delicious home cooked food, was not be disappointed and very child friendly, plenty of space for buggies. Highly recommend
About ten days back, before boarding the bus to university, I happened to walk into this still-under-construction cafe, which is nestled between Five Rivers and Subway in South Leamington; and, I have been to the place five times since!
Be it the veg/non-veg thali or the kathi rolls, the food is scrumptious at this place. ItŌĆÖs pocket-friendly, and more importantly leaves you feeling good at the end of your meal! The thali consists of some naan breads, rice, chole (chickpeas curry), saag (spinach curry), paneer burji/chicken masala, raita, home-made pickles, and green chutney; will take you a good deal of time to eat them all! For those looking to grab a quick meal, the Kathi rolls are a great option. Both veg and non-veg are equally good!
The staff are really friendly, the ambience is simple-yet-elegant, and all-in-all the place has a great vibe!
This place, which serves the most authentic Indian food in all of Leamington, is a hidden gem and I hope more people discover it :ŌĆÖ)
