Arthritis! It is imperative to spot the early signs as preventative steps and early treatment can slow down the symptoms. There are foods that can relieve joint pain and massages can relieve stiffness. Know someone who would find this information useful?

Think of 3 friends or relatives you may have. 1 of you will experience mental health issues this year. Look at a classroom of 10 children and 1 of them will also experience mental health problems. It shouldn't be a taboo to say when you are struggling with a mental health problem, in fact if more of us told others what we were going through we'd probably feel less alone. It's okay to not be okay.

Today is world gratitude day. We want to share our gratitude for our community. It's our community that brings life to this city. The community brings our service users who bring with them their history and stories and wisdom and friendship. The community also brings our carers, who are dedicated, kind and wonderful human beings that we are thankful for everyday and are proud to call our team mates. What are you grateful for today?

Dementia affects almost 50 million people worldwide, with a new case of dementia occurring somewhere in the world every 3 seconds. Dementia can also affect individuals under the age of 65 (young onset dementia). Greater awareness and understanding of dementia is important to challenge the myths and misconceptions that surround the condition.

As part of world Alzheimer's month we are raising awareness to the warning signs, prevention and management of Alzheimer's. If you or someone you know are showing warning signs then please speak to your GP and have the conversation earlier rather than later. More can be done the earlier it's found. #WAM2018 #Every3seconds
