Thank you to everyone who came to my talk yesterday evening. We had a good session and participants went away with an action plan for how they will go forward. You gave me some great ideas for future talks, the most popular being menopause or gut heath, but healthy aging coming a close third. Watch out for an announcement about the next talk soon!

I thought I would expand on my recent infographic about gut healing by writing a short blog post to explain in more detail. Enjoy!

Problems in our gut can cause more than just tummy troubles; they can be a root cause behind many chronic health issues. Gut imbalances have been linked to hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and hashimotos thyroiditis, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, eczema and rosacea?and scientists keep finding more links. A gut healing program is central to effective nutritonal therapy.

My first attempt at creating an infographic!
In my practice I see the impact of stress on gut health as a key factor in my clients' issues.

This short look behind the headlines of a recent study illustrates how easy it is to misinterpret nutrition studies. Always read the headlines with caution and consider all the other possible reasons for the findings!

User

Definitely we need to spread the word about this!

Choosing organic food may seem expensive and may even mean having to buy misshapen or smaller vegetables but this study shows that the potential benefits may be huge. A healthy diet is not just about what types of foods you choose: how many vegetables, how much protein etc., but considers how the food has been grown or raised.
