So what is a chimney cake anyway ?! ...imagine a metre-long stripe of the finest yeast dough, which is brushed with butter and sprinkled with diamond sugar, then wrapped around a cylindrical roll and baked into the oven. Went to the see the opening today and was pleasantly surprised by it all. I feel it’s going to be a great place to spend an hour drinking coffee and having some lunch. I have picked up a few leaflets that I will be handing out at work next week. Looking forward to my next visit to the new in place to drink coffee.

We have had a lovely time at the castle yard tea rooms, the staff were amazing and so helpful, we were made to feel so welcome. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I can not recommend enough and can’t wait to visit again

This Tea room & stylish and sophisticated, I visited today & was very impressed with everything. Romeo served me & my friends & couldn't do enough for us, he gave us samples of cake & home made lemonade & he also held a customer's dog lead so that she could use the bathroom & then gave water to the dog. I shall definitely be returning very soon.

I was apart of a hen party yesterday at the Castle yard tea rooms and we had afternoon tea, it was lovely food, lovely selection and portion sizes were perfect and very well displayed and the service was amazing too. Thank you for making us and the bride to be very welcome. �

I have loved going to the Castle Yard Tea rooms since the grand opening and I found this beautiful coffee shop calming, peaceful and coffee cultured. Romeo and the other lovely barristas are most charming helpful and never fails to make me feel at home. The selections if speciality coffees and cold drinks are first class. The pastries including the blueberry Bakewell is my favourite of all time. Special cheer to Romeo who is an absolute gem, always helpful and makes coffee look and taste delightful. Castle Yard Tea Rooms is well worth more than a few visits.

I had my hen night at Castle Yard tea rooms and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. The food was delicious as were the cocktails and from start to finish the service was incredible. Thank you so much for making my night so special

Had afternoon tea this afternoon and it was absolutely lovely. A delicious tea with great effort made for the gluten free and vegetarian members of the group. Such friendly, welcoming staff and a beautiful setting. The weather kept us indoors but I can’t wait to return for coffee and cake on a sunny day and sit in the courtyard. Really recommend this tea room. Try it today!
