Helpful and friendly staff. I came with my mother and we both enjoyed our meals which were good value for money. It was very busy when we arrived ....this was a Tuesday lunchtime but the staff still managed to find a suitable table for us in the restaurant area. Next time we go we will book a table which I would advise anyone to do as it seems to be a popular place to eat.

Had a fabulous afternoon on Friday. I highly recommend hiring the conservatory for any small/medium sized event you may be thinking of......Rob and the team set it out beautifully for an event I hosted. They could not have looked after us any better. They are a fabulous bunch. Thank you all so much you are all absolute sars!

Great local pub. Staff and management team always lovely and good food and a short walk home. What’s not to love!

Our first visit with friends who had been before, table was ready and the food and service we received was excellent, fast and efficient without being over bearing also able to have a joke. Will definitely go again. Make sure you book before hand.

I felt it was lovely, it was a anniversary meal, I think the staff are under pressure, with rude customers, we enjoyed it, Thank you 😊

Came for Sunday dinner yesterday (20.11.16) with the family including my little nephew. Nice food, good portion sizes particularly the kids (I didn't have room for dessert but my nephew squeezed in a strawberry ice cream sundae - which was great value for size/price). The staff were friendly and helpful and service prompt. There were six of us, we all had different roasts including me the veggie - fab to have a veggie roast on offer rather than getting fobbed off with pasta on a Sunday! Only minor criticism is food could have been a bit hotter and more cheese in the cauliflower cheese please! Will definitely come back.

Ate tonight, very busy but they found us a table. Had the lasagne and hunters chicken, food very nice beat bit was our waitress Sarah who was friendly and attentive despite a very busy service. Did have a wait for food of half an hour and my drinks were slow coming too but all in all very nice. Well done Sarah, keep doing what you're doing ;)

We have visited this pub 3 times recently, and I think it has great potential after a few tweaks...

1. The staff are friendly and polite but always seem crazy busy and stressed with each other! The bar area has been frantic, not a relaxing welcoming atmosphere unfortunately.

2. Please please can you tidy up the beer garden! I appreciate everyone’s grass is yellow at the moment, but there were cigarette ends all over the lawn this week, the tables and chairs are crying out to be painted, and the smell off dog poo was so strong on another occasion.

Would love for the above to be addressed as this place is so local to us and we’d love to visit more often.

Received email with money off vouchers which a party of 18 thought they would use on Monday. 2 vouchers shown to waitress who said could have 2 bills and use both. Waitress finished work before meal finished but had left vouchers behind the bar. Food bill in excess of £300 with drinks taking up to near £500. Manager produced one bill and insisted one voucher only could be used so he used all his customer skills and deducted the £10 voucher, returning the £20 one. He could not be moved on this decision. He has now lost the custom of this group of retired people together with partners in the future. Now have received email encouraging us to go at Christmas. On one side trying to promote the pub but on the other hand customers not made welcome. This pub has previously been used by the same group with 40 of them eating and drinking. They have lost their custom now.

My mother has always raved about this place so we thought we would give it a go. First of all we were told no seats in the restraunt although there was no one in the front if the restraunt for the whole of our visit. We found a table in the bar. Ordered food when it arrived they had forgot chips on my eldest daughter's plate and cheese off the cheeseburger for my youngest daughter.

We had to ask for more cutlery as they didn't bring any. My mom always has the gourmet sausage and mash and she said it was disgusting I had the chicken plate and I wasn't that impressed. I'm sure it was smash with mustard squeezed over the top and the pie was dry and nasty. Me and my children left with belly ache. Overall not impressed

Will not be returning again.

My family paid for a simple buffet, just sandwiches and chips! Nowhere near enough quantity, half the people didn’t eat! When asked to provide more, told that they had ‘run out of sandwich filling’ then plates arrived FOC to people watching the football!!!!



My family booked a private room for a celebration! Simple buffet was ordered for 60 heads, nowhere near enough , half the people didn’t eat! When asked to provide more, we were told the sandwich fillings had run out, only to notice ‘free’ sandwiches were being handed out to people watching the football. The manager was rude and aggressive to family members when a complaint was made. Will not be returning or recommending again! Total mis- management as all this was pre booked!
