We had a lovely meal at the Peacock Inn last night. On leaving my wife hadnt realised that she had left her hand bag behind and had forgotten about it. Later Kamile phoned from the Inn to say that she had come across it and would drop it off at our home after closing. A huge thank you goes out to Kamile for going the extra mile and looking after her customers. Her actions are a credit to her.

The Peacock does the best Sunday Roasts ever, their rib of beef is to die for.

I really ought to try something else, but I just know the beef is going to be delicious.

Hubby always has the lamb and says it’s scrumptious.

Other members of our family have had the turkey, and say it’s fantastic. I did sneak a little taste on Sunday and it was really juicy and very tasty.

You never know, I might have a change next time we go, but then again I’ll probably stick with the beef!

The staff are always very helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble.

Super impressed with the Peacock today...such a lovely beer garden and great service with friendly staff. Food was great too....such a lovely spot! Takes quite a bit to impress me....the Peacock nailed it today. Thank you!

Me and my friend went here Tuesday evening for some food, is a lovely pub and food was lovely to, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would come back here again.

Just came back from another lovely meal at The Peacock Inn. The Christmas menu was amazing and staff as usual are so friendly + welcoming. This place never let's me down

Delicious food, we had a roast on Easter Sunday. The food arrived quickly, staff were very attentive and helpful and gave me their allergen menu. Generous portions and very tasty meal. The desserts were divine, best raspberry sorbet I've had. We'll definitely be back.

We visited the peacock inn on sun 8th for an 80th birthday celebration. It was a large party of 11 but even so I have to say the Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. All the meals came out at once with no delays The staff were attentive & polite. I’ve been here a few times before & have always be pleased with our meals & will definitely return very soon.

We visited the Peacock yesterday lunchtime for my husbands birthday. We both had gammon, chips, egg, pineapple and garden peas and we were both impressed with the meal, it was hot and the gammon was tender. We also had dessert of apple pie and custard again a good portion and served hot. The service was good and very pleasant. Would certainly return.

We booked a table for 3 to celebrate my daughters remark result coming back as a positive. We were met at the bar by our waitress, incredibly friendly and efficient all through service. Food was OK, not great - I had steak, chips and peppercorn sauce delivered some time after my daughters were served - chips cold and had to wait for a watery peppercorn sauce to be brought out later. The cheese on my daughters fish pie was incredibly chewy too. Think the issue is lack of staff as although our waitress was attentive and rectified any issues it was evident that she was on with just one other waiter and was also covering the bar at times, we could only see 2 people in the kitchen so perhaps a little more money on employing staff would solve this. Have to say though that I would definitely go there again as definitely has promise.

Lovely food, lovely service, but a few visits now our sauces have been forgotten until we'd nearly finish our meal. Otherwise lovely place.

We went to The Peacock yesterday. We'd been given the menus and barely a minute later, were being asked if we were ready to order. I had the Calamari to start, and although I know it has a rubber-like texture, these pieces were stringy and difficult to swallow. Me and my husband had the lamb shoulder and we both thought the food was ok, but a bit bland. It was overpriced for what it was. It was all cooked and warm, but nothing special. All in all, a bit disappointing.

Normally love this place! Family went for nephews bday. Some of our meals were cold. I had a lasagne with not one piece of pasta in..tenner for a bowl of mince and bread -baby food! Asked as plates were collected if meal was okay. I was told that I must have had the outskirts of the homemade lasagne. No money offered off. Won't order again!

I had my xmas meal with work here yesterday. I had the bubble and squeak to start. Great flavours but the poached egg was hard boiled unfortunately. The turkey main was really tasty, some of the sprouts however were raw and not cooked properly. For dessert I had the Black Forest sundae, I was really disappointed with this as it was just chunks of shop bought hard brownie that I couldn’t get my spoon through and hardly any icecream making it really sickly! The staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was fab too.

Food prices are OTT for what it is. Food service extremely slow. Table booked for 14 but crammed with only 13 making it, which was lucky for us! Only saving grace was the staff that served us were pleasant but 1.5 hour wait for food I thought was very bad. No doubt venue will say it was very busy but if they can't cope with large number parties then don't accept the bookings!

It was my birthday last weekend and we booked a table for 4 persons, stating it was a special occasion.

Upon ordering our Sunday lunch we were told there would be a 45 minute delay. I did hint to the waitress that a complimentary bottle of wine might be in order due to the delay, especially given the occasion. Needless to say, we didn't get one or any other complimentary drinks/food/compensation. I accept that Sundays are probably busy, but what is the point of booking a table for a particular time and then been told to wait for 45 minutes! You were aware we were coming! The meal arrived as promised after 45 minutes, the beef was over-cooked and dry probably due to being 'kept hot' under a lamp-a very average meal. Staff were polite, but that does not make up for our disappointment .

Went to peacock for my son's birthday meal and waited two hours for the meal it was a disgrace, will not go again, ��
