Very quick service guy who served us was very polite and attentive food was very nice too.

Been here for meals on many occasions, never had bad service, never had a bad meal. Love it!

Went out for my dads birthday, I asked for balloons which didn’t happen. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to come, the starter took 30 minutes to come and then the main about the same. It’s such a shame because Lee our server wasn’t to blame, she was on her own with about 8 tables to look after.

It even took 10 minutes just to pay.

The food quality was great though.

E food was very good. The service has a lot to be admired. A birthday meal for myself with family a total of 7 of use. Took 20 mins after being taken to our table for me to catch someone's eye and ask for drinks. Then another 10 to have our order taken. I went to the bar to ask for more drinks. Shame as I really enjoyed the food.

Service needs serious attention! Yes the food is lovely and the decor is beautiful but when you walk in and everyone just seems to ignore you and your stood there like a lemon it’s very off putting. The girl behind the bar was more interested in her Mobile phone. Couldn’t understand it as the place was barely half full so surely they’d have more time for customers!

Tip for staff : when a starter has been served it’s highly likely that all the cutlery will have been used so it’s a good idea to bring more for the mains �

I’d love to go back but I won’t unless the service improves. Does it just need more staff??!!

Had to ask for water 3 times before we received it and portions were a joke. They need to learn how to make salsa. Also, no regular cheese dip at a Mexican restaurant? Tons of room for improvement here.

Definitely won’t be returning. It’s a shame because I do like the food here. Service is appalling. Went for breakfast on the 28/02/18. I could count 2 members of staff on. Took 15 minuets for them to bring over our drinks that we had ordered. A further 15 minuets to ask us what breakfast we would like to order. A further 25 minuets until the food was bought over as it was stood on the hot dish for a good 10 minuets. I then had to ask about a drink I had ordered when I ordered my breakfast, the lady just looked gone out like she had forgotten. The bill was also incorrect. The only

good thing I can say is the food was nice it’s a shame that the service let them down. The lady who was serving looked like she really didn’t want to be their. I would also like to do that there was only 8 other members of the public in the restaurant at the time. Very let down.

Absoloutly shocking service came last night for my freinds birthday had a table booked for 8.30 got there at 8.31 to wait 10 mins before we even got acknowledged then we rudely got a wait from the manager who then went of to clean a diffrent table came back 5 mins later and took us to our table took some one 20 mins to take our drinks orders after asking the manager when he walked past to take them he said no il get my waiter to do it fair enough its what he's paid for I suppose, 5 mins later had to ask the waiter when he came past finaly took drinks order another 30 mins for the drinks to come he finaly came back with them so we orders food while he's still there food came quicker than the drinks shock no one came over to see if we needed anything (cutlery would of been great!) And no body to be seen finaly found some one and got met with why have you got none?! No I just thought I'd let food go cold while we found someone that worked here to have a spare set � all we got when asked why the service was shocking was theres only 1 trained member of staff and 2 trainees that have never waited a table be for and its busy iv seen it buster with better service we left at 11.30 from not long finishing eating absoloutly appauling service from Chiquitos will not be returning in a hurry shame because the food when we eventually got it was nice

We're pretty local to Chiquito at the Ricoh, so it's a regular stop to walk out for a nice meal.But that's far from what the experience was this weekend.



No doubt the wife will leave a separate review of her food, but this is certainly the first time – in any restaurant that we’ve sent both the dishes back.



I ordered a five been chilli, Chimichanga with Volcano sauce. By the description “Can you handle it? Only for the brave.” I figured that the heat would balance what is expected as a mild bean chilli.



We had a bottle of red wine to share – that lead into a second. Nbut nt for the first time the wine glasses that we had showed a distinct lack of salt in the dishwasher or even going through one. The wife’s glass of white wine was sent back with a clear lipstick mark still on the glass. The red wine glasses needed a polish with a napkin before use.



We both ordered sides, skins on fries and sweet potato fries. Neither of which made it to the table with the main dish. We had to remind the waitress who then went to call in a rapid order.



When my dish arrived I grabbed a tortilla and tested the salsa to see if the Volcano sauce was outside the Chimichanga. Nope, just a regular salsa. So I cut into the wrap to see if the inside was spicy. Nope – just five bean chilli. So where was the hot sauce? The five bean chilli was just as expected, tasty, but by no way spicy. There was clearly a cocktail flag saying Volcano on it.



The wife’s meal was meant to have hot sauce, not Volcano, but hot. That too was bland and completely free of anything remotely spicy or anything sauce like.



So we regretfully called over the waitress and got both meals returned. It was only when we had an empty table that the manager brought over the missing fries. We explained the situation and that they should go back and come out with the main dishes.



When the replacement meals came out we were expecting great things – only to be further disappointed.



My Volcano Chimichanga was exactly the same. Boring and by no way spicy. They brought a bottle of Habanero sauce with it by way of compensation. Now I’m not trying to big myself up by claiming I can take it hot. That’s certainly not the case. This Volcano sauce is so mild I’m not sure I’d of been able to tell the difference between it and regular salsa.



The manager was apologetic and tried to explain that new sauces and menu where to blame. To compensate us he offered to take one of the meals from the bill.



The second attempt was probably worse than the first. Both sets of fries were limp as if rushed out to try to satisfy us with speed. The wife’s tortilla was was doughy, suggesting it had either been microwaved or certainly not cooked properly. The only addition was it now had Ancho sauce. This was by far hotter than the Volcano sauce! It was tasty, but sat atop a doughy tortilla it was worse than the first.



But the real icing on the cake was when it came to deserts, further drinks, getting the bill or any kind of service after this we were totally ignored. It got to the point where the only way we could get any service was to put our coats on to leave. We got one of the meals taken off the bill – which even after NHS discount still weighed in at £70 for the two of us. So we’re not cheap diners. We like to enjoy a meal and the money isn’t the primary consideration.



The evening out was far from the usual good experience we get here. I’d like to put it down as a one of, but it will certainly be a while before we return.

The worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Table we were given to start was filthy. We moved table, member of staff came to give us drinks she said I will be back.... never came. We had to get hold of the manager to take our order. Food order was wrong! Nobody came to see how we were getting on during our meal. I tried to find a staff member for a drink but nobody was available. Complained. No response from the manager. Shocking service. Normally a great food establishment. Will not be going back to the Coventry restaurant.

Shit from walking 4 adults 1 toddler and a baby in a pram and want to squeeze us in on an aisle can't move to where there was space can't eat outside

WTF and how can you afford not to get at least £80 to £100 of my hard earned money

Service was so appalling, we walked out and went to Frankie’s and Bennie’s instead! My sister and I came in for a meal this afternoon, where we had to wait to be seated. It then took 10-15 minutes for someone to come over and ask for our drinks order. When the lady finally came over, we asked if there was a wait on food and she said she didn’t know. She took our order then went to ask, but never returned! The man in charge then came over 10 minutes later and we explained the situation, to which he replied “the order hasn’t been taken, she couldn’t understand you and she can’t speak very good English,” and when my sister said that wasn’t her problem, he replied saying “it’s not mine either”. After being spoken to so rudely, we got up and left. We will not be returning!

Portions were poor and we booked for a table of 10 then when the bill came we had vat added we wasn’t told it would be added on.. if we had we would of gone else where won’t be returning

Dry chicken burger dry pulled pork on it. Didnt even get what I ordered

Definitely won’t be returning, table of 16 booked in for 6.30pm didn’t get any main meals until at least 8.20 and then a lot of them were wrong. The restaurant wasn’t even too busy

Booked a table for 16 at 1830 it’s now 2040 and some people have had there meals and others haven’t, most of the orders were wrong and had to be sent back, side orders was not brought out with the meals, very slow and poor service! The restaurant was not even that busy, Will not be returning!

Awful service!!! Such a shame as I love the food! Half an hour for drinks, 45 min for main, half an hour for deserts and the restaurant was empty!
