Ive always had a good relationship with animals, especially dogs, over the years ive found as a person living with epilepsy. My best friend as always been my canine friend. When I had a fit, seizure or convulsion, my dogs always knew way in advance. though they were never specially trained. So I did some of my own research and decided that I was going to write a book that would raise awareness about the good work and special relationship dogs had with humans. Cindy and patch is the result of a special relationship I my self had with many dogs I have owned over the years. In this book Cindy as an invisible illness, only patch can relate to. The two have a special bond that allows Cindy to have some independence of her own. There are many charities that train dogs to work with humans for a range of different causes. In Cindy's case she uses an assistant dog to help Cindy when she is not well. The book is full of beautiful illustrations illustrated by charlotte white.
