A fairly reasonable open mic night. And yes, if you've been before you'll know that was a massive understatement. It's generally spectacular. Contact Sunday Shenanigans Open Mic to book a slot.

What a lovely family friendly venue ! Can't recommend this place enough !

User

We had a great time at Claptrap last week, super sound and lovely atmosphere thanks to the staff and the people who came and saw and conquered, left the microphone and stand there so will be popping back there tonight. Thanks for a great gig. xx

User

Top people run this venue!! Sunday night open mic is also hosted by lovely people!!

User

The best and friendliest venue for live music, with excellent sound, atmosphere, and audience!

User

Putting bias aside (as I am already a complete fangirl of these pair's musical talent, quirkiness, wit, charm and creativity!) the venue has retained the essence of what was already a fantastic much needed alternative entertainment haven and added their own unique mark. They've create a lively yet homely atmosphere welcoming true local talent in a vast array of genres. Truly something for everyone. It's like the best house party you've ever been to! :)

User

My new favourite venue - what a lovely place run by lovely people!

User

Massive endorsement from @martiansocialclub - one of the best venues we have ever played at-one of the few places around that actually seem to value musicians -oh an the crowd were tip top too !!

User

In the same way that the original JB's had its own special vibe back in the day, this venue has it bucket-loads. Great atmosphere, eclectic mix of music and customers of all different ages and likes blending together. Take the short trip up the stairs off the High Street and you won't regret it.

User

Came along on Saturday night with a group of friends to celebrate a special birthday, just wanted to say thank you, great atmosphere, great music and a great selection of brewages

Especially my Dandelion and burdocks with rum and the friendly staff were welcomingly too

User

Awesome place that we came across as we followed the sound of music down the high street!

User

Amazing place lovely staff. If you like music and somewhere a bit quirky you need to check it out we need to keep local music venues going as there ain't enough about and this is a absolute gem of a place.

User

Absolutely fantastic place! Lovely people and the atmosphere is brilliant.

User

A great quirky venue , utterly unique , relaxed and friendly.

My Band played there and the in house sound is brilliant and they loaned us high quality drums and amps they couldn't be more helpful they even projected a back drop behind us lol.

Support local venues and local music use this wonderful gem you won't be disappointed.....

User

Great night at a great venue . The decor , atmosphere & band were brilliant . The only thing that put a bad vibe was an idiot who thought it was fun to invade people's bodies inappropriately . It was a good job his mates put him in a taxi & sent him home before someone belted him one !!!

User

This place has total disregard for bands & customers alike .

They cancel gigs last minute , letting down everyone concerned . I would advise any band considering playing there to think twice .

Disappointing & un professional !

User

Really disappointed. My parents come here regularly with me so I decided to bring my group of 5 girls here for the night. We are all 18-19 years old and got turned away because we are not above 21 years old. Expected more from this venue!
