I know we should all be learning to rewire motors and reprogram inverters for the next generation of endurance cars, but until someone makes a decent battery we may have to carry on burning stuff for a little while longer.
So if you have a couple of gallons that need burning we now have Nissan based 3.7l and 4.0l endurance engines, featuring custom two ring Omega pistons, from solid, Saenz 300m forged rods, oversize Inconel valves, billet cam covers with braced caps, a 4 stage structural dry sump with integrated pump,a triple plate AP 5.5inch clutch and 3kg steel flywheel all topped off with a custom billet crossover 52mm ITB setup.
All done and ready for the dyno minus all the lightweight aluminium drive pulleys which the lovely guys at DPD logistics managed to lose on the way back from the anodisers.

Old school Bmw E30 Group A touring car from back in the day when the fastest package won not the one given the most boost for the weekend!
Running Zytek ecu, twin injectors and CDI ignition this was state of the art in 1989. However now lack of spares and software unfortunately means it needed changing.
We have completely rewired the engine fitting modern easily available sensors and hardware coupled with OBR Euro 4 ecu and wideband lambda.
... Originally the car ran very poorly below 6k be it a fault or setup is anyone's guess without ecu access but once above that the fueling was spot on and it gave great power.
Two days on the dyno playing with the twin injectors setup and 150 litres of fuel later the driveabilty is transformed with 10lbs/ft gain in the midrange and a very hard earned 6bhp gain at peak!

Here goes the next batch of big bore NA engine builds.
K20 & K24 engines all fitted with 89mm closed deck mono liners.
Improved thermal performance, lower friction, more power......and 2.5kg each less weight for me to cart around the workshop !

Cleaned, machined, measured and ready to assemble tomorrow morning.
Omega forged 86.5mm 11:1 compression pistons, forged rods with ARP L19 bolts, standard crank and new genuine Honda bearings and bolts etc.
Suppling this as a assembled block only, destined to be used in a supercharged C38-91 Rotrex build.
