Today in baby room we created our very own beach using pineapple flavoured Jelly for the sand and Berry flavoured glitter Jelly for the sea. Poppy enjoyed the feel of it in her hands spreading her fingers inside. She had a scoop in one hand and a spoon in the other. Poppy would use the spoon to fill the scoop, using the spoon to break up the jelly inside. Savannah used her hands to move the mixture around the tub, getting a handful of Jelly she would slowly bring it to her ...mouth with a big smile on her face. she held onto the spoon tapped it inside the mixture and brought that to her mouth, guiding it with her other hand.
We also tried making our own cheesecake, Poppy helped me to crushed the biscuits using a spoon and Savannah helped me to mix the angel delight up using a fork. Their favourite part was tasting the fruit Strawberries and Kiwi, Savannah preferred the Strawberries and Poppy tried the Kiwi.

Today in preschool we used pasta to thread and make necklaces, to practice our fine motor skills.
The children were focussed and enjoyed this,
Willow said she was making a' big long snake'... Marina said she was making a necklace. Lucas counted ten pieces of pasta that he had threaded onto his string. Grace enjoyed the activity so much she said she wanted to do some threading at home using some beads to make her mummy a bracelet.

The preschool children have been exploring using their senses this week,
A group made cloud dough using conditioner and cornflour, they manipulated the dough and talked about how it felt and how they could stretch it into different lengths. They talked about how they could smell coconut from the conditioner, Nicola explained it was from the conditioner, Grace said, 'My daddy drinks coconut water.' The children enjoyed pulling the dough into different shapes using their han...ds.
Today we added pasta and rice to the tuff spot as the children wanted to mix using different utensils.
Theo used a whisk to mixed as he did he said, Im making playdough, its dry.' He put the whisk down saying, 'it needs to be washed now.' Iosif mixed with a whisk saying, 'we need some ingredients!' willow mixed her mixture together saying, im mixing mine together, I can see pink in mine.'
The children enjoyed using the different utensils and assorted ingredients.

The toddler room have had a lovely morning exploring.
Hector played in the sand with his friends he said, 'Ive made a chocolate cake for you,' he passed it to Nicky and laughed as she pretended to eat it. Kiri then passed a bowl of sand saying, 'Some dinner.'
... Elsie enjoyed using the dough, she pressed and patted with her fingers as she manipulated the dough, then used a roller and knife telling Nicole, 'I cut it.'
Some children painted pictures, Elsie J said ,'I drawing mummy.' Benjamin used red paint, when asked what he was painting he replied, 'A dinosaur, its pink.' Mia painted and said,'its mummy.' Benjamin paints in a circular motion and says,' Look Its round.'
Juliet played in the home corner with pots and pans, I asked if she was making dinner, 'No, im making cup of tea,' she replied as she took a goblet to a friend. She goes back to the home corner and looks at a book, she points to the pictures of a child and their feet, she looks at her own feet and we count together, Juliet laughs as she bends to count her toes!
Hector looks in the mirrors at who he can see, laughing, ' I see you he says!!' Oscar comes to the home corner to see what we are doing, he hides playing peepo over the home corner, laughing as Nicky stands up to find him.
Oscar uses a magnifying glass to look through and explores the toddler room using it.

This month in Baby room we are learning about our senses. This week we chose to discover material through touch. Our first group make cloud dough using our hands and spoons to help form the dough. Kiri helped to pour the flour in choosing how much flour to use. Both Poppy and Kiri helped to squeeze the conditioner out of the bottle, Poppy shaking it to let the conditioner out of the bottle. Imogen even got her hands in the mixture. holding onto the flour she enjoyed throwing... it round the table and making marks across it. Kiri pressed his hand into the dough and looking at the pattern it had formed. Poppy rolled the dough in her hands until it was sticky again, holding her hands out to show me with a big smile on her face. Imogen enjoyed pulling the dough apart in her hands.
The next day we looked at mixing materials. Gabe enjoyed spreading the mixture with his hands. he used the scoops to bring it to his mouth and smiled as a flour cloud formed around him. He enjoyed feeling the flour and cocoa powder in his hands throwing it up in the air. Savannah used the scoop to move the flour around the tuff tray and dragged the tray back towards her when Gabe had moved it away. She smiled as he continued to move it back and forth as she got a fistful of flour and patted it down.

This morning during muddy Mondays we've had lots of fun making camp fires, chasing butterflies and playing in the mud kitchen. Charles says "lets roast marshmellows" Grace says "I can see four butterflies" Miah says "I'm mixing my mud pie up for dinner."

Today we celebrated the Queens birthday! as her birthday is on the 9th of June! We celebrated by having an afternoon teaparty in the dining room at nursery. Throughout the day we made lots of decorations such as bunting and paper chains in the Preschool Room to decorate the dining room with, we also took part in cooking some fairy cakes in the Toddler Room and Baby Room. In Preschool we listened to the Queens song which we learned is called The National Anthem we liked the ...sound of the drums at the start. We also learnt that the Queen is going to be 92! and that she lives in a Big Palace called Buckingham Palace. Isaac said ''the Queen was special because she has two birthdays and has a really big crown on her head'' Willow said the Queen sits on a special chair called a ''Throne''. Afterwards we continued the teaparty outside in the garden where we played pass the parcel and played some dancing games, we all enjoyed the party in celebration of our very royal monarch :-)

Today in Preschool a small group of us were using our Home Learning bags to practice our fine motor skills. The bag we chose had scoops and tweezers inside which we used to transfer pom poms and stones from one pot to another. We use these to encourage children to hold the equipment correctly, developing their finger muscles ready for holding scissors.
Today outside another group of preschoolers joined me outside in the garden. We picked up our magnifying glasses and went on... a hunt. we used our magnifying glasses to search the plants for Minibeasts. Woody told me "Look Lucy, I found Ants", they were crawling up the trees. we counted six of them. Isaac found a spider shouting "look a spider". Some of the other children found a fly on the wall, I helped them to count the flies legs, counting up to six. I asked everyone how many legs do we have? "two" they all shouted. we carried on our search looking around the garden. Marina and Lilia spotted a bee on the floor saying "Look a bee". Telling them to be careful we looked closely at it. Marina told me "it has wings" whilst Lilia said "its Crawling" as it crawled across the floor. Woody and Edie tried to lift up the logs, peering underneath to see what else they could find with their magnifying glasses. I helped them to lift this log so they could see all the minibeasts underneath it. we found Woodlice, ants, worms, slugs and a millipede" Grace decided she wanted to look under her own log lifting it up with some help from Edie.

Nicola made us some coloured rice to play in, we had blue and red rice. Savannah enjoyed feeling the rice in her hands and toes, she babbled as I poured it over her feet. Poppy enjoyed pouring it into containers and watching the rice as it fall down when she tipped it out. Poppy also enjoyed making marks in the rice with her fingers

This month in baby room we are learning all about colours so this morning Nicola got a large piece of paper and squirted it with blue and red paint. We put on some old clothes and then enjoyed exploring it with our hands and feet. -Poppy enjoyed mixing it with her hands, she used sponged rollers to move it around. _Savannah loved having some tummy time on the paper and squelching the paint through her fingers and toes,

My son is so happy here. All the staff are brilliant with him and nothing is too much trouble! Recommend club 0-14 to anyone!

My son Kieran attended the nursery from 10 months and it was the best decision we ever made. We visited other chain and larger nurseries but they did not have that welcoming and caring feeling that is here. Kieran loved everything at nursery from diddi dancing to free playtime. The girls looking after Kieran could not have been more attentive! The nursery prepared Kieran excellently for school. There is no doubt our next child will be coming here! Can not recommend high enough :D
