Cockles Description
COCKLES offers a daily fish chowder or bisque, dressed crabs with rocket, dill and samphire, sea bass ceviche, soused herrings & smoked mackerel, and salt and pepper crevettes on Docker sourdough bread, grilled sardines and herring roes on toast according to season, plus small plates of prawns, marinaded anchovies, local whelks and, of course, cockles.
Liquid refreshments is a selection of Chapel Down and French wines and Curious Brew and Time and Tide beers. Open Fri-Sun and seasonally during holidays. Check FB for updates.
We aim to source what's fresh and seasonal or brewed within a 30 mile radius.

This Sunday 🎧
Private Widdle comes back to Space on Sunday 20th to whip out his four-incher and sow the seeds of some apparently random musical connections, that may inspire some people to dance and inspire some people to sit down with a stiff drink. Widdle's Music Box contains tunes from Country and Western to Jazz to African and all the other stuff like show tunes, glam rock and Boney M. It will be Widdle's 59th, so old people can come.
