Belfast | Jayda Fransen: Britain First leader convicted.
A former deputy leader of far-right group Britain First has been convicted of stirring up hatred towards Muslims in Northern Ireland.
New: Jacinda Ardern and Scott Morrison among estimated 20,000 attending national remembrance service near site of attacks
Wearing a traditional Maori cloak, Ardern was joined onstage by Muslim leaders and a survivor of the attack.
Among the assembled mourners, including heads of state and survivors of the attacks, was British musician Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens, who also sang.

Before performing an acoustic version of ‘Peace Train’, the artist said his heart went out to those affected and highlighted the amazing response of New Zealanders to the shocking attack. “It’s only when good people stay sitting that evil rises,” he said. “We’ve seen the opposite in this country.”

The 27ft (8m) Knife Angel sculpture is made from 100,000 blades handed into police across the country.
