Country Treks

This is a really special place to ride in Shropshire. I've ridden 3 times here now (I'm from Devon) and always had a great time riding great horses with lovely escorts in beautiful countryside. I'd definitely recommend it.

Thank you to all the staff at country treks for making it a happy fun first riding lesson for Theo and Alex and of course daisy who rides there often , they enjoyed there ride through the wood and we had a picnic in the sunshine after in the field it was a lovely afternoon of fun ,we shall deff do it again thank you all the girls who led them round and the instructor was wonderful

Siannen has been riding with Country Treks on and off during our holidays and it has been a fantastic experience, super friendly staff and instructors, reliable and organised. The most important thing is Siannen enjoys her time there. Amazing and superb centre!

Our 11 year old granddaughter had a wonderful time on her one hour pony trekking experience. She hasn’t stopped talking about it since. The staff were friendly and chatty and the bacon rolls for Nan and Grandad were perfect. We will certainly be back again .

Myself and my 9 year old have been twice while on holidays in Shropshire. We will be going many more times too. Both rides have been tailored for our needs and we have enjoyed it immensely. Staff are amazing and the horses are wonderful.

Me and my daughter booked a 3 hour hack with country treks and we had the best day riding ever and we ride regularly at a local school. My daughter can be hard to please at times but she loved it and fell in love with Jack (the pony). We experienced the amazing Shropshire countryside on beautiful horses that are clearly very well looked after, love what they do and a pleasure to ride. Even though we rode through a hail/snow storm, storm force gails (at times) and loads of mud it just added to the fun and adventure. We will most definitely be returning here and we can't wait till we do. We were even given a tour of other areas as my daughter has firmly decided she is coming back for pony camp- in fact i think i will be coming back for the adult stuff as it has really ignited my passion again for riding.Big thank you to Steph who took us out for the hack you really made our day and we felt so welcome- can't wait to return.

I ride with the University of Wolverhampton Equestrian society and Country Treks have been amazing catering for all our needs. We have a range of abilities and there is something for all! Super safe horses and a lot of fun! Great hacking, gymkhana and jumping facilities. Couldn’t recommend more highly!!

I have been riding with Country Treks for the last 18 months and have really noticed my ability and confidence in myself have greatly improved. I hadn’t had riding lessons or ridden that often for at least 10 years, so was very nervous. They have a wide variety of sizes, shapes and abilities available to all ages and they are a very inclusive riding school/centre. One thing that I absolutely love about Country Treks is that every single person is special and the staff take their time to make sure that you really enjoy your stay.

Had an amazing time at 2 day adult camp. Fantastic friendly staff who were very encouraging. Beautiful horses who we trusted completely . Everything was pitched at the right level and we came away feeling more confident. Can't wait to go back �

Had a fantastic three hour hack with Ash and Hannah yesterday and it was so much fun!! It was a gloriously muddy, floody-puddle ride through beautiful scenery and great bridleways with the longest canters I've done in a while �! Hope to see the video of us wading through the flood waters soon!! This was my first hack and everyone was so friendly and made me feel at home including Lucky who took very good care of me for the hours and was a bundle of fun to ride �. I'll definitely be back for a trail ride!

Full day back in the saddle after years of being away and my experience is impossible to fault. The girls at the yard are helpful and clearly love what they do. The location gives you the opportunity to ride through field upon field at what ever pace you like. Despite the 7hr round trip i most certainly will be returning soon.

Fabulous place, fabulous people and fabulous Horses! Me and my gang of fellow riders (10 of us) descended on Country Treks for my birthday 2hr hack and they looked after us from start to finish.

Gorgeous location with a variety of routes available. Totally recommend them for whatever horsey experience you are looking for. See you soon! xx

Did the two day adult camp this week after returning to riding following quite a long time out of the saddle. My return visit is already being planned!



Right from arrival we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Steph and Roon both took the time to chat to us and identify what we were hoping to get out of the days.



Roon put me at ease immediately. I can be quite a nervous rider however I totally trusted in them and their ability to match a horse to us. They did this perfectly.



It was clear to see that not only was this their job, it was also their passion. Their horses and yard are cared for very well.



Everyone was so friendly. The food and accommodation was lovely. We learnt loads but had an absolute blast whilst doing so. If only I could ride out with them every day!



Thanks so much Steph, Roon, Ash and the rest of the team. I’ve walked away knowing my confidence and riding have improved but having had a great time and feeling like I’ve had a mini holiday.



I will most certainly see you again soon.

Country Treks is absolutely amazing if I could rate it higher I would. I decided to go back Horse Riding after losing my confidence and after having am assessment lesson and booking Take Back the Reins I know I couldn't of picked a better riding school. I was a shaky mess and from the point of stepping out of the car till the driving away I was made to feel comfortable and welcome by Steph like part of the family. My instructor was Roon who was incredible she talked me through my nervousness and pushed me just enough so that by the end of the assessment I was relaxed and trotting again. Can't wait to start my Take Back the Reins. Thank you guys for helping me start my journey all over again

Can’t recommend Country treks enough! We were the customers from hell, asked could we bring our own horse, changed our minds twice, asked for overnight accommodation and then didn’t need it. They were helpful and accommodating from the beginning of us booking. My daughter ended up bringing her horse and they were so well looked after she was quite sad to come home. She’s made friends and already planning a reunion return trip next year.

Wonderful company that gives kids summer holidays to remember. Her instructor Roon helped her overcome confidence issues riding her horse that she’s struggled with for months. Thank you so much Country treks. You were fantastic �

Amazing my two older children have come on loads since starting here a few weeks ago they love it and now my littlest came for tiny tots Easter he had the best time, highly recommended 5* all the way !!!!!! X

A riding school like this is very difficult to find . The staff are amazing and the horses are perfect . Some normal " school horses " and some more advanced horses . All the horses are really well looked after and have there own personalities . As a bigger / plus size rider AT OTHER STABLES I have been made to feel very unwelcome , uncomfortable, even been told i cant do some stuff becuase of my size ( like jumping or hacking ) . I have had no trouble what so ever at all at country treks I feel like a normal person and i do everthing that everyone els has done , its really appreciated . . . My riding is improving every lesson and i feel like my confidence jumping is going to get a lot better as that is something I really struggle with . Can even get a nice hot chocolate and cake after a long ride� �� 100% give country treks a go !!!! You will love it !!!!

A friend and I have just spent a wonderful day with you guys over on the Brown Clee. Cannot recommend enough. You have been accommodating, helpful and knowledgable from our first point of contact. Delighted to back in the saddle - I’m sure you will see me again soon. A million thanks!
