Coventry Chinese School

We provide courses for children of Chinese, mixed-Chinese and non-Chinese background Mandarin lessons on Sundays from 1-3pm (term time only)

Coventry Chinese School is a supplementary school that provides Chinese language courses to children from the age of 4 to 18. We are a non-profit making organisation that has been established in Coventry since the 1970s, and receives support from the Minority Group Support Services of Coventry City Council, National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education and and other local businesses.

In 2010, Coventry Chinese School was accredited the Bronze Award in the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education.

We provide courses for children in both Cantonese and Mandarin, however we no longer provide Cantonese classes at beginners level. Our courses follow the national curriculum and provide children of Chinese origin an opportunity to learn their native language, culture and traditions. Children of non-Chinese and mixed Chinese background are also welcome. The School also provides an opportunity for the children to interact with other children to develop new friendship.
