The Cross Guns is our local pub. It has a great friendly atmosphere and the landlord & landlady Gary & Charlotte have worked very hard to make it what it is.

Lovely frendly pub with good food will visit again

User

Had a great night on Saturday night - pub had a breast cancer charity horse racing night! Great laugh for all and meal we had was lovely. Landlord and staff are very welcoming and service was excellent. Really worth going to for the friendly atmosphere, good food and good beer

User

Good real ale. Friendly, helpful staff. Dog-friendly, with designated areas indoors where you can take your dog and have a meal. Food was absolutely fine but a bit basic for the price (I would have liked a bit of salad and coleslaw with my burger and chips included in the price). I would recommend the Cross Guns.

Disco Karaoke Night The Cross Guns Pant Friday Night guys and Dolls 8Till Late ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ï¿ ½ï¿½ï¿½

User

Came Sunday last week late Afternoon very quite ordered four meals, two meals came after about 5 minutes had to go and ask for cutlery then waited about another five minutes for other two meals. Didn't think anymore of it then about another five minutes later the side order of chips came that were ordered. Very poor service but meal was lovely when it arrived.

User

Nice pub thats dog friendly and has a nice beer garden. Has some good real ales and friendly staff however the food is a bit iffy. Order took 40mins to come and then the food wasn't as described on the menu. Also chips were very under cooked which I've seen a few people mention on their reviews.

User

Great food and beer

User

my vist to this pub was not a good one I found the attuide of staff horrid after ordering drinks at around 9,30 it was my sons birthday so I had my other children with me on asking for drinks thay did not say ones about children being in pub went back to bar to get some stuff and was told to leave for ten now my question is this if you did not want children in the pub why did you take the money out my hand for drinks and never said nothing ? at time about children as staff you should have made us a were of your rules on coming to your pub

User

Worst pub I have ever visited.. food terrible.. service worse! Also whoever writes the boards, menus, Facebook, TripAdvisor need to learn how to spell! What an idiot! Thought they could do with my business but will not be returning! But a dictionary and maybe some cleaning products

User

Went in today, party of 9. Food was disgusting. Menu is very poor with very little choice. Had a starter for main for that very reason, brie polenta and red onion tart. Was more apple and brie tart, hard pressed to find any red onion. I don't like Apple, wasn't stated in menu about apple. All food was microwaved or fried, over cooked and tasteless. Never seen peas look so anaemic. When mentioned to waitress food was bad she laughed. Then when mentioned again we were serious , she again laughed and said I don't know how to take people. So her people skills need working on. The microwavable nan bread was more of a chopping board. Chef needs to dampen with water first once come out the packet.

User

Went for tea, very poor food would not recommend it although staff very friendly..

User

Stopped here on our way home from Liverpool having had a great weekend celebrating my husbands 50th birthday.

So disappointing there was a smell of dog in the pub and then to top it all off the food was appalling. Scampi was well and truly over cooked and the chips had been re heated. Hawaiian burger was requested with no salsa on it came smothered in it and was so cold that this then had an impact on the heat of the chicken located somewhere underneath and the chips were the same again. Hunters chicken then 1 portion was fine and the other barely warm chip once again the same on both these dishes as the others. Went to pay the bill and was asked if everything was fine with our meals and when I explained the young girl serving just replied than you for your honesty REALLY. Won't stop off here again and won't be recommending it. Worst Marstons pub I have ever visited

User
