Shoulder injuries are one of our most common injuries clients come to us with after back pain. Cryotherapy helps to increase range of movement and reduce pain levels.

Well I randomly found out about this place on Wednesday... And I'm shocked, I suffered with chronic knee pain for the past 15 years and have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. This year has been the worst yet, being put on alot of meds and pain killers. It takes me duluxtine, diazepam, tramodol, nurproxen to try and get through a day of which most evenings by 4pm I can barley walk if walk. I used the chamber on Thursday and since I've had no pain killers and amazingly no pain. I feel amazing, they say there isn't a cure for chronic pain well here it is. The staff are lovely and very helpful and easy to talk too. If I could give more stars I would. I've booked myself ten sessions for an amazing price. If you suffer from chronic pain you must try this, as no one should have to live like it in this day of age. If you are still unsure feel free to drop them or myself a message and I'd happily share my experiences.

Change your life for the better!

The staff were very helpful from the moment we entered to the second we left. Everything was well explained and so we didn't feel nervous about heading into -90 temperatures for three minutes.

The facilities are modern and clean.

The cryotherapy itself was quite an experience and I went in with my partner. It is obviously bracing cold but as it is dry you soon acclimatise and at no point were we uncomfortable. A member of staff gave us time updates (and even were able to pick a song to listen while in!). We both felt very refreshed afterwards and can see how regular use would help with muscle fatigue /soreness.

We would certainly go back.

Thanks to the staff!

Myself and my brother took advantage of the great offer that Cryozone Health had for the Shrewsbury Half Marathon Runners which involved a 3 and a half minute stint in the Cryochamber and then a half an hour in the Recovery Compression Boots for £20. Firstly we were met by Lee who runs Cryozone Health and he was very welcoming and made us both feel at ease which was brilliant as neither myself of my brother had ever done this before. Lee explained the processes involved and also had time to have a chat with us while we were in the recovery boots. The Cryochamber was very cold! It was very refreshing and rejuvenating, no pain at all, just a bit tingly. The recovery boots afterwards were very relaxing, I almost fell asleep during the 30 minutes laid back watching DeadPool on Netflix Both myself and my brother managed to do the Shrewsbury Half Marathon the next day and without suffering some of the niggly issues that we had previously experienced while doing other half marathons. We would highly recommend this place to other runners, we will definitely be returning at some point again.

Just started on my Cryo journey prior to my wedding next month. The staff are marvellous and full of enthusiasm, which is very contagious! I am hoping for some weight loss and a reduction in my spinal fusion scarring, along with the tightening of my skin, so I shall post the results as they come in. Others have had incredible results in weight loss, but also reduction in specific areas of pain, such as knees and backs, which I find very exciting. More to follow from this amazing technology

I’ve been suffering with a shoulder injury over the last couple of months and been trying to manage with the pain, with just one visit I’ve seen a huge improvement in pain and movement within the shoulder, I’ve recommended it to a few people since going who have been suffering with DOMS aches and pains

Friendly welcome , I will be back

I went along to the open day held at Cryzone Health last Saturday as Cyrotherapy is something that I had wanted to try for quite a while and I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth and not take the opportunity for a free trial.

I was most impressed by the knowledge of the owner and his son Lee and it was fascinating to learn the background of why they came to form the company and the reasons behind it.

The treatment itself wasn't painful or anything just a bit chilly as you can imagine! I felt some benefits straight away and feel quite good even a few days afterwards and booked in to have a session this Sunday and hopefully to start using the chamber regularly.

User

I was warmly welcomed by the team who were very reassuring and fully explained the details behind the technology, how to get the best out of it in an extremely professional way. After running the Shrewsbury Half Marathon half an hour before I was interested to see the results and they were fabulous! The whole body cryo chamber revived all the aching muscles and the recovery boots allowed me to walk out with a spring in my step - Thanks guys that was an amazing experience!

User

I visited Cryozone on the run up to my wedding to help with weight loss and had fantastic results! Additionally to weight loss it helped with my skin and really boosted my energy levels.

I even managed to get my mum in the chamber who struggles daily with back ache and after just one visit her back is feeling better than it has done in months.. looking forward to seeing how a few more sessions help.

To top it all of the team are so friendly welcoming and informative, I cannot recommend this place enough!

User

I took up the Shrewsbury half marathon offer, mostly as an 'I'll try anything once'.

I was made to feel very comfortable, even though I tend to be very body shy, and loved every minute of the cryochamber and recovery boots.

The interesting thing for me, was that I went to parkrun the following day and for the first time in months, 'ran' the whole thing without having to stop for asthma breaks. I did another run the next day with similar results so I decided to go back, just for the chamber.

I've been three times now in total (once a week) and haven't had an asthma attack in three weeks; that is not to say that I don't still get seriously wheezy and I still have to walk/run but my recovery time has dropped dramatically and I'm not coughing so much after exercise. There is some science behind it (I checked!) about the cold reducing the inflammation of the airways etc. which makes sense.

Clearly it's not going to be for everyone and the advice of the knowledgeable staff listened to, but I'm a convert. I love the sessions and I really love the aftereffects. Thank you so much for that offer as I probably wouldn't have tried it without that!

User

I left it a day before reviewing and can say, the experience is great, immediately after stepping out I could feel that something was going on.

During the drive home I began to realise I was less stressed and fatigued, my gym aches began to subside, though my ankle injury felt slightly worse that evening (may be due to the recovery process) but I woke up with it feeling fantastic, walking about with no problems, I feel revitalised today, I honestly feel I have benefited even from the first session, I would recommend it and will be going back.

User

I how been using the cryo chamber once a week for about 3 month now and love it. After leaving the chamber you feel amazing. The staff are so helpful and able too answer any questions. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

User

I can highly recommend having this therapy, it works for me! I have arthritis, fibromyalgia and migraines among other things and the difference it’s made going in the chamber has been really beneficial, so much so that I have cut down on a lot of my meds. Give it a try you have nothing to loose but will gain lots.

The localised treatment also works really well for me after I’ve had a migraine, only wish I could magic myself there when the migraine is in progress, that would be wonderful.

User

I came to you with a frozen shoulder, not knowing how the treatment would help me. I was met with friendly staff, who explained how the treatment worked. I went into the chamber with my gloves, ear muffs and mask. It was cold but I listened to the music playing, came out moving my shoulder without so much pain. I have had 5 sessions and can move my shoulder more freely now. Thank you cryozone will see you again.

User

Highly recommended. I tore my rotator cuff and had an impingement of the internal tendons in my bicep following a sports injury, which led on to a frozen shoulder. A year after referral to Physio (not successful) I was referred for steroid injections....the whole process has taken over a year and still no appointment. I was recommended Cryozone by a friend and after only 3 sessions I can’t believe the difference in mobility. For the past twelve months simple movements or sleep have been painful. I’m hoping that after a few more sessions I will be able to decline the painful steroid injections. Definitely worth every penny

User

Highly recommend Cryozone in Shrewsbury. Had a bad groin injury in January which wasn’t improving but after 7 sessions it’s really improving....as an added bonus I tend to get a great nights sleep the day I go :). My other half also found it beneficial for back pain and migraines. Lee and the team are also very professional running a very smart and clean clinic.

User

Having been a sufferer of chronic back pain for more than 10 years (i have a prolapsed disc, and a irreparable S1 sciatic nerve on the left side, not to mention a damaged left shoulder, and I broke my back 35 years ago), I had got to the stage where I no longer felt painkillers were doing any good (only opiate based PK's seemed to do any good, and they just made me feel ill in other ways...). A friend of mine at my Polo club happened to mention that he had started having sessions at Cryozone and they had already made a very positive impact on his ability to be able to play polo without any pain. ( I have taken up playing polo as riding seems to help with mobility, it didn't obviously stop the pain though...).

So, feeling more than a little skeptical, I turned for my 'taster' session. I was immediately struck by the friendliness of Steve & Lee Morgan who run Cryozone. Both put me at ease, explained what would happen, how long etc, and most importantly the positive impact it would have on my health ( this I took with a pinch of salt...)...and once undressed bar my shorts, a pair of gloves, a fleece face mask and ear muffs in I went....then I noticed the chamber was showing -95!!! 😳

The initial concern of freezing half to death was unfounded, its a dry cold (like the freezer isle at a supermarket) and after the initial 30 seconds of being surrounded by swirling mist and snow...yes...snow...it became very pleasant....and I really began to enjoy it...(if your hairy...standby for being amused at the frost that appears on you..thats tells you how cold it is...)....then I realised with a shock that all my constant aches had gone!!!

Two minutes in Steve then asked me that if I could bend as far as I could manage and he would blast cooler still air into the chamber to stimulate my back (now anyone that knows me knows I cannot bend much past putting my hands on me knees...)...I started to bend....and stopped when I put both my palms on the floor!!....all with no pain...nothing.....by now I was completely astounded by how I was feeling, when all too soon Steve counted me down 5 seconds and opened the door to let me out. on stepping out I expected to feel cold, chilled, shivering...but now....I can only describe the feeling as if I had been vigorously rubbed with a rough towel...

That was a week or so ago...since then I haven't had a single ache or pain, nothing...I feel fitter, dare I say younger, my appetite has reduced, I don't feel so hungry anymore (I was a good stone and half over weight because I LOVE my food...I have since lost 7lb) and my sleep pattern has improved vastly, no dreams or nightmares ( I also have PTSD....nightmares occur on average one per night...)...in fact I can climb on & off horses, work on our smallholding..you name, I can do it...all with no pain...AT ALL....

All I can say is that in all the years i have carried this pain, I had learned to put up with its constant presence because according to doctors I had no other choice....until now....I haven't touched and PK's since starting my sessions...had my third one today....and I feel amazing.....I cannot for the life of me understand why GP's do not refer people with my problems to the likes of cryozone, the only thing I can think of is because the prescription drug companies must have the monopoly on treatment, and we has a species accept that..I accepted that...until now...I cannot thank Cryozone enough for giving me a new lease of life, their treatment will remain a constant in my life now (I have set myself two sessions a week because that works for me...)....and if you are skeptical..thats good....be prepared to be proven wrong!!!

User

Had a great experience this evening. Went in with tight hamstring came out totally refreshed and no more tightness. Would highly recommend cryozone.

User

Brilliant place, with friendly staff and lovely décor!

Have had a Facial, Lipofreeze, Localised treatment and have been in the Chamber, all of which are done under professional supervision, are very comfortable experiences and good fun! Also thorough advice given post treatment on what products are available to help get the most from the treatments!

Would recommend it to anyone, helps with skin, noticing a difference with my weight already and definitely helps ease any pain/discomfort!

Look forward to coming again!

Bit of a long review but hopefully my story helps others in similar positions.

I suffer with knee problems after a break over ten years ago. Also broke both arms, so thought the chamber would benifit me more.

Came to use the chamber a couple of months ago and didn't feel much difference apart from it taking the edge off a little. My knee has been playing havoc since jan to the point of going back on anti inflammatorys (tried to cut out around Aug last year) as well as 30/500 co codomal every four hours. Also 100mg of tramadol at bedtime.

I came in yesterday for a facial which was lovely! I suffer with migranes and felt it has helped with that, especially with eye strain in this weather.

Whilst there I inquired about targeted area for my knee. They were able to fit me in there and then despite being mega busy with facials all day. I was very sceptical as the chamber didn't seem to help. Once you have the coldness on you for a few seconds it's not too bad! Obviously kept off the anti inflammatorys yesterday, and it was aching after. Today I have only taken one lot of co codomal this afternoon and haven't felt like I have needed anything since!

Also yesterday evening I took the dog for a walk and was out for four hours with him. Usually after walking about for that amount of time I'm awful the next day to the point of struggling to walk and needing all my painkillers aswell as taking tramadol in the day too.

I am absolutely amazed and I'm positive that if I hadn't been walking about for four hours I wouldn't have needed any painkillers today at all!

I have wanted to cut down on all of my tablets for a long time, but nothing else I've tried has enabled me to do this (physio, pain clinic, steroid injections, other injections, and even an op a couple of years ago)

I will definitely be booking in to have this done again and when I know how often I'll need it doing I'll be bulk booking my appointments! Would definitely recommend people to try this.

Thanks so much, hopefully I'll be able to cut down on all of my tablets, to the point of not needing any at all. Could have saved years of pain and not being able to do things if this was part of the NHS!

Had a great experience this evening. Went in with tight hamstring came out totally refreshed and no more tightness. Would highly recommend cryozone.
