BACK TO SCHOOL DATES AND TIMES (ADDITIONAL INFORMATION)
New Term Start
New Year 7 and 12 students and Year 11 students will return to the academy on Wednesday 5th September 2018 for a shortened induction day. Start times are slightly different for each year group.
... New Year 7 - 9:00am - 1:15pm (Report to Main Hall) Year 11 - 9:30am - 1:30pm (Report to Main Hall) New Year 12 - 9:00am - 1:00pm (Report to Drama Studio)
The whole school will return on Thursday 6th September 2018 for a usual prompt 8:25am start with the exception of Year 13s who will start at 10.30am in the Drama Studio. This will be a normal full day. Students will get time to spend with their new form tutor and group in the morning. On arrival, posters will be displayed with new form room bases in the student foyer, canteen and D Block entrance.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Generator has now arrived and is all working well. The academy will therefore be open as normal tomorrow (Wednesday 23 May). Thank you for your understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to a major power cut in the area, the academy will not be able to ensure provision of food for students. Therefore we have taken the difficult decision to close. Students in Years 7-10 and post-16 are to be offsite by 12pm. Provision will be made for Year 11 students who will need to remain at the academy to sit the GCSE geography exam this afternoon. Year 11 students that don’t have an exam will also be required to leave site by 12pm. The issue is currently being resolved by Western Power and the academy will publish confirmation of reopening at the earliest opportunity. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Thank you to Dr Maria Pavlidou from the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Birmingham for leading the particle physics workshop today. The session included students from Years 7-10 who will shortly be going on the trip to CERN.
