Went for a night out at the Millstone Hare. Cameron and the team were first class and made us feel really welcome; when you add awesome food and a good selection of drinks what more do you need

User

We went to a Christmas gala night. We really enjoyed our night out. The venue looked great and the service was good. The entertainment was brilliant, especially the band, the photo booth was great fun!! There was plenty of tasty food and the table service was excellent. We would definitely return to this event next year as would all of our friends. Oh and everyone was blown away by the fireworks.

User

Second visit to The Millstone Hare last night. Food, once again, was beautiful. The staff were lovely....really friendly. The venue is so clean and well kept that its a pleasure to visit. Its definitely a secret gem within the countryside of Warwickshire. Would defintely recommend.

User

Had a great evening at the Dallas Burston Polo Club on Friday watching tribute act Adele. It’s the first time I’ve been and was very impressed by the act and all the staff. I’ll definitely be going back soon.

User

Had a fantastic time really good activities for the children mine loved the hole experience of Easter trail the staff were amazing really good day out for the familey and will definitely be going agen next year if they have the Easter trail on agen thank u for such a fun filled day

User

Great venue for the Bollywood themed Molly Olly Ball 12th November 2016. Beautiful room but it was a shame there wasn't any wifi we could use. Many people wanted to Live video the event on facebook this would have promoted the venue. Reception said there was wifi but only for business users!!

We still had a fantastic night and would recommend it for any event.

User

Came to Adele on friday night

We all had a fantastic evening. The event was very well organised all the staff were excellent and very efficient all in all a great night well done Dallas Burston.

User

Absolutely fabulous day again at the polo. The staff were just brilliant, friendly, professional and could not do enough for us, either in the clubhouse or in the bar across the car park. The stalls were lovely to look round and the polo was very exciting to watch. Thank you so much for a really special day.

User

4 of us dined last night and it was excellent. Boys were v happy with the real ale and food was excellent. Service very friendly and couldn't be faulted. We took advantage of the free chauffeur service which was on time and meant all could have a drink.

Thanks all staff We will be back.

User

Lovely setting and good polo . One criticism:-

Baking hot day and not enough sun shades / umbrellas. We did ask the staff to be told no ... to only have three umbrellas on the club house terrace is not enough. Apart from that all good.. thankyou.

User

Just popped in for a Sunday afternoon drink. Great looking place and staff attentive. Drinks where not over priced and food looked good value and will be going back to try.

2 constructive criticisms :- as 1st time going into the ground for a long time signage for the pub could be a little better though did follow the small brown rabbit signs

Also although all doors open , did feel a little stupid walking up & down looking for main door .

User

A group of us attended ladies day, the sun was shining and we had a fantastic day. The daytime venue is stunning and extremely well looked after. We were on gold package but the food was disappointing, especially lunch which closed 30 mins early and was very poor, virtually scraped together as leftovers. The bar staff were underwhelming although the drinks prices were reasonable for the venue quality. I’m glad I didn’t attend the evening only as the change of venue was very impersonal in comparison. Hopefully the team will take on board our feedback and come back fighting next year for us locals who support you all year. We want to feel welcome and keep enjoying this beautiful venue on our doorstep.

User

Went to the Opening Season party last night, what a let down. We have been the previous two years to what was a gorgeous and quite classy event. Last night was anything but classy. The music was too loud to talk, the karaoke was awful, none of the normal beautiful fireworks. The venue was too big for the number of people who turned up and there were about 60 in our group. I dislike night clubs and last night felt like we had stumbled into a night club. Not sure MeetUp will be supporting again next year :-(

User

Went to Bonfire and fireworks night, the fireworks were the best I had ever seen but facilities let it down, only 1 food van, queued for 45 minutes for food and did not cater for vegetarians at all, also only one drinks bar with again massive queues. Think people would have stayed longer after the fireworks if facilities were better

User

Second year attending Ladies day Gold package . The breakfast was lovely however lunch was lame to me. The music provided wasn’t really appreciated and nor where some of them really appropriate for the event.

We all had a print out of the day but personally felt it was a waste of paper , a mc would have been better considering how busy it was. Like last year no mention when you could pivot on the pitches no mention of who won best dressed lady. The company I was with made my day , however I feel you are trying to get it right but not in the correct places. More than happy to speak in person about my views. We are contemplating on doing the platinum package as this seems to be where all the effort is given.

User

Dreadful disappointment. For such a prestigious venue the organised event was very poor, appreciate the free polo wasn't taking place due to the weather and ok it was a cheap ticket price (bought early) but the main event was only a band & karaoke (a couple of customers who got up were amazing and should've been kept up all night, others were dreadful as you'd expect, cringeworthy but good for a laugh!) all in all not dissimilar to what you'd expect to get in a cheap Benidorm hotel or bar, although, the sound quality would probably have been better. Bar staff appeared not understaffed but poorly trained and disorganised, therefore the wait for drinks far too long, a good bartender should always know who's next to be served regardless of how busy and how many times do you need to repeat a 3 drinks order only to receive a tonic water instead of sparkling mineral, asking for a pint of lager shandy only to be asked if you'd like Heineken or I'm pretty sure the bartender said John Smiths?? then receiving half a pint of shandy and half a pint of froth, and a pint of lager with a 3" frothy head?? (so much more money could have been made with better trained/organised staff, sorry that's my Business Head talking!), there weren't that many people in attendance and dread to think how they would've coped if it had been busier. Had to wait an age for change as they'd ran out, the Bar Manager was running backwards and forwards like a headless chicken seemingly not knowing what to do first but doing very little to organise and support.

This is the second time I've been to an event which was poorly attended, Why? Have also been to the Millstone Hare too (beautiful pub) for a drink, (have heard too many poor reviews on food and service to eat which is a shame) where the same Bar Manager was more interested in his phone than paying attention or even interacting with his customers, it wasn't like he was busy, we were the only 3 people in there at the time so a great opportunity to interact but just got an uninterested impression when trying to engage in a conversation with him. Ordered a pot of tea which was bought to the table as an ordinary tea bag floating in a cup, no pot! Second order we asked if a pot was possible and were told first tea should have been served in a pot and an apology given. Rumours are: making money on this venture isn't a great issue with the owner and the grounds are just a plaything (I don't actually believe that, he's a successful Business Man after all) but come on whoever is responsible for organising these events, don't degrade the fabulous venue's with such poor quality service and offerings. At the start of the night we were all looking to book an upstairs booth for "Adele" in December, left wondering if we should bother. Really sorry but this is an honest review and it's only based on first hand experiences where I feel the experiences didn't match up to what are; Top class venues.

Upside: All staff were very friendly and polite.

User

Booked for lunch on Sunday arrived decided on what we wanted to be told haven't got half what was on menu

When food came out a hour later it wasn't that good but hey it was our fault because we bought three extra people ??? Some of the staff are very nice but value for money no way

User

Attended Ladies Day last weekend. On paper sounded fantastic. In reality, breakfast was nice, lunch appeared to include the breakfast leftovers, the choice of music over lunch (rock covers band) seemed out of place for that time of day and certainly way too loud making any conversation impossible, and the match commentary could only be heard at one end of the clubhouse. The bar staff were presumably agency and couldnt manage the basics and looked completely disorganised and overwhelmed e.g. which glasses were appropriate for champagne (I appreciate not an everyday essential but for Ladies Day it should be in the briefing). Had a pleasant day because of the company I was with but wouldn't come again. The substance of the day didn't match my expectations

After going to the open season party last year , I was really looking forward to this years party . How disappointed I was.

The music in the bar area was far to loud and when they announced the curtains were opening for the main event ..... what a let down . There wasn't enough tables , there was no atmosphere and the band and karaoke was awful. Last year was a classy do , this year it definitely wasn't. I will say that the staff were very polite.

I was looking to attend an event later in the year, but I am having second thoughts now.

There wasn't enough tables , there was no atmosphere and the band and karaoke was awful. Last year was a classy do , this year it definitely wasn't. I will say that the staff were very polite.

I was looking to attend an event later in the year, but I am having second thoughts now.

Went for a night out at the Millstone Hare. Cameron and the team were first class and made us feel really welcome; when you add awesome food and a good selection of drinks what more do you need

Second visit to The Millstone Hare last night. Food, once again, was beautiful. The staff were lovely....really friendly. The venue is so clean and well kept that its a pleasure to visit. Its definitely a secret gem within the countryside of Warwickshire. Would defintely recommend.

Had a great evening at the Dallas Burston Polo Club on Friday watching tribute act Adele. It’s the first time I’ve been and was very impressed by the act and all the staff. I’ll definitely be going back soon.

Had a fantastic time really good activities for the children mine loved the hole experience of Easter trail the staff were amazing really good day out for the familey and will definitely be going agen next year if they have the Easter trail on agen thank u for such a fun filled day

Came to Adele on friday night

We all had a fantastic evening. The event was very well organised all the staff were excellent and very efficient all in all a great night well done Dallas Burston.

Absolutely fabulous day again at the polo. The staff were just brilliant, friendly, professional and could not do enough for us, either in the clubhouse or in the bar across the car park. The stalls were lovely to look round and the polo was very exciting to watch. Thank you so much for a really special day.

4 of us dined last night and it was excellent. Boys were v happy with the real ale and food was excellent. Service very friendly and couldn't be faulted. We took advantage of the free chauffeur service which was on time and meant all could have a drink.

Thanks all staff We will be back.

Booked for lunch on Sunday arrived decided on what we wanted to be told haven't got half what was on menu

When food came out a hour later it wasn't that good but hey it was our fault because we bought three extra people ??? Some of the staff are very nice but value for money no way
