Damascena Coffee House Birmingham City

On 29th August we received a number of calls from customers stating they were charged twice. We advise all customers to check their statements and be in touch with their banks. We have called our card processing company and they have stated that all customers affected will be reimbursed. We have been in touch with all customers affected to follow up on this issue. Only 2 customers have been reimbursed so far. We would like to re-assure customers that this is completely out of... our hands and that they should be in touch with their banks.
Damascena has asked First Data for an explanation and reassurance that this will not happen again.

Damascena (city branch) has had some electrical issues with the oven which resulted in delays and order cancellations. We are back to normal with limited use but please bear with us we will do our utmost to achieve our normal excellent service. Wow! What an awesome place this is.

We came for breakfast/brunch to Birmingham and were totally transported to Turkey with the amazing food & coffee. So, so delicious. The cardamom coffee blew my mind & the breakfast selection was just out of this world. So many delicious offerings - we just didn't know which to dive into first.

Razban & his staff were so welcoming and friendly.... Will definitely be going again.

We often come into Birmingham but this was the first time that we visited this cafe. From the outside it looks pretty normal but when you move to the back of the cafe you are drawn into a different more exotic world. The food is lovely and you can stay normal cafe or take a punt on Arabic coffee or avocado milkshakes. It was all lovely and served by staff who clearly care. We had the cold meze and it was all very tasty and a real treat. Thank you

We just stumbled on this place in need of a place to sit and chat over a drink. Was instantly impressed by the style of the place and the range of drinks available. I had a cardamom tea, very nice. We came back for lunch after a nearby museum visit and had to fight our way in. Lovely food, good prices. Will be going again.

The food was absolutely scrumptious - the best shawarma I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) and the meze was of great quality. Will definitely be coming again (looking forward to the more local Harborne branch opening).

Lovely food and atmosphere beautiful place to eat and drink

Loved the decor very friendly the food was excellent too. I recommend ordering the appetiser meze ideal for 4 people to start you off. We made the mistake of ordering everything at the start. I would recommend ordering one dish then ordering the next. Can’t wait to go again.

Love the food and drink here so good! Lots of authentic Middle East food and drink, regular coffee shop drinks too if you prefer. All great.

Its not just about the varied amazing dishes but the authentic coffees and teas but the decor and atmosphere - it's so relaxing and comfortable only advice is go slow on the starters and main dishes because you will hate yourselves if you miss out on the desserts

I've walked pass this place couple of times and only today I walked in and I will be back I did really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and service food also was great although it could do with a little more refinement on flavours or it's prop just me I haven't had middle eastern food for along time. But I will def be back to try the rest of there menu.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for looking after us so well today. We had a lovely afternoon eating fabulous food, in great surroundings served by polite and courteous staff. We will definitely be back.

Great food and fresh squeezed orange juice tasty and one plate per person is enough as it's full of flavour and great portion per choice all is tasty hot and cold third time there different times too atmosphere chilled and buzzy and staff friendly service is quick too 😊

First time I experienced Turkish/Syrian food and what a place to do that in?! Everything is just amazing from the hospitality, the food and most importantly the ambience and decor. A must for people to visit at least once. I however plan on making it a regular place to go to 😍😋

Bustling city-centre middle-Eastern coffee shop and delicatessen. Lovely selection of middle-Eastern foods (hot and cold) and drinks. try their Arabian spiced coffee for an unusual (yellow!) coffee to complement your food. Plush cushioned and trellised surroundings in rear room. Recommended for busy lunch-timers as well with benches and stools overlooking St Philips churchyard. Staff are very friendly and will happily explain the menu to you if, like me, you are not too familiar with middle-Eastern food. Recommended.

And incredible experience of flavours and smells. Really friendly and helpful staff too. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared and came out really quick. Prices were very very reasonable and I would recommend this place without question. Thank you for making my friend and I so welcome.

Absolutely love the food here. I’m so addicted that I’m halfway through the menu. Karak tea is delicious too. Staff are friendly and service is great.
