Look, we’ll admit, we’ve been a little coy with the beers up until this point. So why not begin our beer list announcements with a bang then eh? We can’t actually believe it ourselves, but we’ve lined up some fresh off the boat beers from the one and only Mikkeller! Only at Moseley Craft Beer Festival on the 24th to 26th of August.

It’s not all beer this year at Moseley Craft Beer Festival. We’ll also be showcasing live local musicians throughout the festival, with some roaring after parties too for those of you who can hack it all the way through to 2:00AM.
To kick off the friday night afterparty we’ve got Dr Linus, with pop punk classics & live funky rock from AfroDuck. Saturday night see’s Heducation’s DJ MYLZ taking to the decks for some funk and hip hop classics. While Bank Holiday see’s Sam Redmore and a night of Funk, Soul, Disco & House.

The Dark Horse is excellent. Amazing selection of beers, from experimental concoctions to your usual lagers, and great food. Scratch that, the food isn’t great, it’s absolutely incredible. Personal recommendation would be the delicious meat-laden Farmageddon pizza, it’s the best of the best and an absolute must for the discerning carnivore. �

The Dark Horse has THE best selection of craft beers in Birmingham and the food and staff are fantastic. Nothing to big or small for any of them!

Massive thanks to the entire team again. You have been doing a fab job in having a very spontaneous party of 24 people, on a very busy day(football) on a very short notice. Everyone was very happy about their food and the entire atmosphere. Our partner company from Australia and the us was even more impressed which is really good. Planning big parties is always a pain but your staff members, food menu and flexibility make anything possible and you really made my week.

I'm a veggie but have been there for drinks and they have a great selection of ales and friendly staff that gave me a sample of ones I wanted to try. I also had a great night at the music venue upstairs.

Had the opportunity to dj there covering for the resident Dj . I found the staff welcoming, helpful and friendly. A great selection of ales and the clientele made my night so enjoyable as the were so open to my eclectic style of djing.. if I ever have a night off I’d probably make the journey for a return visit .. 5 stars for me

Had a bangin' roast today, absolutely cured my hangover. Our server Toni was kind and attentive. ILL BE BACK

Great pub, great service, great fun. As a veggie I have never eaten there because it's specialties are meat but it's still a fab place to go out. And I've heard the food is lovely if you do eat meat.

Great little pub in the heart of the village of Moseley. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, good booze n food. A real community venue. They host excellent comedy gigs once a month and their 'quiz', rafikis cuisine is definitely the best thing you can do on a Tuesday in Birmingham

Great food, great drink & great music. Everything you need for a good night out. The staff are absolutely fantastic, very friendly and approachable and a good laugh to boot.

Don’t usually write reviews however had such a lovely time here on Saturday that I had to! So accommodating for a big group of us, finding a nice table outside so we could enjoy the sunshine. Really helpful in finding some vegan options and the chef sent out some new aperitifs they are testing at the mo. We were all stuffed and the man serving us offered to box everything up. BEST LUNCH EVER. Thanks guys! Top team on the front of house yesterday, really made our day!

An absolutely amazing bar & kitchen! The food is great, you even get given the cutest little pot of spicy popcorn whilst you're waiting for your food which is bangin'! This is without a doubt my favourite pub in Moseley. The amount of people which I have met there in the last few months is incredible, everyone's very friendly and it's like a little community :) <3.

A great variety of beers and drinks in general. We had 5 sharing starter between 2 and some fries. A little greedy of us, but with left overs put in a take out box for the next day. Fantastic flavoursome food, served in a timely manner with friendly pleasent service. Add in a beer each £45.00 not bad at all.

Great place, have been coming here for years and I believe it’s the staff that can make all the difference to a place and there is a lovely mixed race girl who is always smiling and goes out her way to make sure you are happy! Must find out her name but definitely an asset to the dark horse. Food is a little up and down but I generally like the atmosphere here!

Didn’t eat but drank plenty of beer of which the selection was very good. Knowledgeable staff.....loved it.

Was waiting nearly an hour because the chef and servers looked like they were busy sorting takeaway food. Served a bowl of amazing fries but stone cold, had to go back. Then served amazing looking holy cow platter cold 5 mins later, the butter would not even melt on the corn cobs. Took it all back to the kitchen, to be told, the chef is warming the Holy cow back up and will be a couple of minutes. Noooo it's not acceptable to just warm it back up, it should have been served smoking hot the first time. Sorry we had to leave, after an hour of waiting, it was embarrassing enough without waiting to see if the chef had dried it up. So many 5 star reviews, where was our 5 star service.

So much for bands going on at 9pm.. 1 hr 10 mins later and wasn’t a blues bands at all, just reggae. Shame!
