NEW PAYMENT OPTION
Hi All
Firstly, thanks for embracing the 8.30 payment time, over the last few weeks. I have found it to be a great help.
... As from November 2018, members will be able to pay their monthly fees by ‘Standing Order’ or by BACS Payment.
Whilst, we appreciate that this will be much easier for some, it won’t be something that everyone chooses.
If this sounds attractive to you please read the notes below before choosing to proceed:
ELECTRONIC MONTHLY FEES OPTION
This method only applies to monthly fees (if you normally pay weekly then please don’t use this method).
Standing Orders should be set up to run until August 2019 (No longer please as fees may alter beyond that point).
BACS Payments may be made monthly when required.
Both Standing Order and BACS Payments must hit the account by 12pm no later than the first club night of each month. I suggest that payment is set up for the last day of the previous month. I will check the account once between 12pm and 2pm on the first club night of each month. Only payments that are shown will be accepted as payment for that month.
It is likely that as we progress with this option that their will be a further financial benefit from choosing this method. Nothing has been decided regarding this, yet. Our recent departure of several members has meant that we need to wait and see how our numbers settle over the next few months. It is likely, however, that the incentive will be aimed at those who set up a standing order for the whole period. Any incentive would be designed to offset the fact that individual members may miss some weeks for various reasons, but also remembering that the membership discount does already offer approx. 15 free weeks per year (if used fully throughout the year).
BANK DETAILS
TSB Bank 77-27-10 40651160
Please make sure you use your first initial and surname as your reference. I would also be grateful (although not compulsory) if you could email/message me if you intend to pay in this way from November 2018.
Regards
Terry Gill Club Treasurer

Hi All Just to let you know that from now on I will be collecting club night fees from 8.30pm (but not before). I have been struggling to get on court to play games over the last few weeks and think it will help all round to have a bit of structure. It will also help if you could offer payment at this time rather than having to be asked. Can I also remind Dawley Members who wish to take advantage of the monthly discount (£15 per month), that payment should be made on the first club night of each month. If not, then members should pay the weekly discounted rate of £5 each week that they attend, for that month. This will also apply to members who do not pay on week 1 of any month, for whatever reason. Terry Club Treasurer.

Hello everyone,
From Tuesday next week Dawley Badminton Club will have a new home at Holy Trinity Academy in Priorslee, Telford.
We will have a new start time of 7.30pm and we will finish at 9.30pm from next week until further notice. There is a booking before us which ends at 7pm so we cannot get access until at least 7pm after which we must put our own nets up. We may start a little earlier if all of the nets are up but we cannot start play until ALL of the FOUR COURTS have... nets in place.
The address is: Teece Dr, Priorslee, Telford TF2 9SF
The School has plenty of Parking and access to the facilities is via the Front doors of the school.
See you next week.
Regards, Graeme Club Secretary of Dawley Badminton Club

Please note:
... 1. Players will be unable to play if their BE Membership expires.
2. The the option to pay monthly at a reduced rate is only available once the Dawley Membership has been paid.

Hi All
Just a quick reminder that ANNUAL FEES are due next week (21/08/2018), for those who haven’t yet paid. That gives me and Graeme time to ensure registration by 01/09/2018.
Please note that you will be unable to pay them tomorrow night at club (14/08/2018) as Graeme and I will not be there. Michelle will collect any club night fees.
... Also, from the 21/08 onwards we will be collecting the names of those players wishing to play in any Dawley teams next year. Only players who are registered with BE (with Dawley as their primary club) and that have paid the Annual Dawley Membership, can be considered. Mike is compiling the list but you can make yourself known to any committee member.
Thanks

You may have noticed that the PEG BOX has been spruced up. Please can you remember to return your peg to the white card when you have finished at the end of the night. Can you also remember the club rules when picking your games, if you are not sure the rules are clearly displayed at the top of the peg box.

Hi All NO BADMINTON!!! next week due to HLC School requirements.
Also, there will no longer be any 9 - 10 court time. We may revisit that during the league season but with matches taking priority. That means if you play on after 9pm you do so as an individual and there will be no cover under BE Insurance. New shuttles will also not be available after 9pm..

User

Hi All Just a quick reminder that we currently have 1 Extra Hour per week from 9 - 10pm for those who would like the additional time. This arrangement will be assessed at the the end of March!
Also, It is the 3rd week of the month this week and Mick has asked me to remind everyone that it is 'PUB' night! Anyone wishing to join him for a drink at the Cock, would be welcome.

User

Please take some time to read this, which should make you aware of some changes to Tuesday evenings, and to remind you of the court usage during a match.
1 Extra Hour per week:
As a result of the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) it was agreed that for a trial period we would book an additional hour of play on a court between 9pm and 10pm each Tuesday. This means that we will run with our normal booking 7pm till 9pm but will then have one court booked from 9pm for an hour f...or those who would like the additional time. During February we would appreciate your feedback on this decision so please let us know what you think so we can turn this trial period in to a permanent option.
Home Match Court use:
During a home tie, it is important to note that for the first game only, two courts can be used. After the first game, the court availability will reduce to one court. In the unlikely event a match should continue beyond 9pm, the extra court will be prioritised for the match until concluded. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.
If you have any feedback or suggestions affecting either of these items, or if there are further notices we need to provide, please let me know.
