Dinky Paws Cat, Kitten Rescue And Rehoming Description

My love for animal’s first started at the age of 12 when 5 tiny kittens were found on my school field. A notice was put in the school bulletin for anyone to give these babies a chance of life; I took 1 of these kittens home to give it a chance. Weeks hand rearing him and helping him with his toileting duties. He became my best friend and I called him Scooby. I then got a Saturday job at a local rescue that took animals such as dogs, cat’s goats and different types of ducks and geese. I loved my job and worked hard every weekend tending to and cleaning out the animals. After a couple of years Carol Hanes who owned the rescue decided to move to a different area which left me unable to do no more. I left school and went into retail, at 19 I left to have a baby and begin my life as a home keeper and mother. My son started school at 5 so I decided to go back to work again into retail. My love for animals never left me and I was always helping one animal or another. In 2002 when the sports shop I was working in for quite a few years closed I wanted to change my direction of work and work with animals. how where I didn’t know where to start so I ended up back in retail working for Next at touchwood shopping centre but something was always missing. I bumped into a friend who was going to Solihull College to attend an interview for an Animal Care course wow the door had opened, I contacted the college and was interviewed to which I gained a place on a level 2 course I then went on to a 2 year level 3 course and was the 1st student to get a first distinction criteria DDD. I became a tutor helper for the summer school Animal Care course for 7-12 year olds. One of the sessions wasn’t covered as a tutor had left I was asked to teach the children about animals instead of being a helper; this is when my new career started. Parents praised my work I had done with the students, and it wasn’t long before I got a phone call offering me a place at the college as a Subject Specific Support Tutor working in Animal Care I also taught level 1 and 2 students in Animal Care. 2 years ago a litter of kittens were found dumped on a building site not even an hour old a well known Animal industry service contacted me to hand rear these babies to which I did and when old enough they were adopted , but the babies keep coming sometimes with a mom but also for me to hand rear and the phone calls kept coming but sadly I couldn’t take them all as I only have a small house. Animal Samaritans contacted me this year with a mommy dog who had rejected her babies and was trying to kill them, both mom and babies came into my care, and after 24 hours I had successfully got mom to feed and nurse her babies to which she became a brilliant mother her name is Susie all her babies have been adopted but my heart melted with Susie and she’s still with me as a long term foster. Animal Samaritans has helped me so much with support and donations to help me get started. However it is an expensive process and we are not quite there yet, so if you would like to make a donation no matter how small it all helps, this can be done on my web page www. dinkypaws. webeden. co. uk . Thanks for listening to my story .

These 3 little babies were rescued last night from a factory unit. Mommy and babies were being looked after by the workers. Sadly mommy hadn’t been seen for 24 hours and the workers got worried as the babies needed feeding. Rushing to the shop to get kitten milk the shop owner told them that mommy had been hit by a car and killed 😢. Thankfully they contacted us and the babies are now safe and warm in our care.

Would everyone say a soft hello to our beautiful Tori. This pretty little girl has now been with Momma C for over a year and is still looking for her forever home. Tori came to us a bedraggled and terrified kitten just a few weeks old. It has taken months of patience and love show her how to play and just be herself. Tori is an extremely timid little girl, needing a quiet home where she can relax and learn to be your best friend. She does like fuss and affection once she get...s to know you, but is not a lap cat. She loves ‘dreamies’ and has the most amazing purr. She is happiest sat looking out the window just taking everything in but needs someone to be ‘hers’. She’s still needs time and patience to help her learn to trust so if you think you could help her please message us as we don’t always see the comments on posts. She is neutered and about 15 months old now. She has the prettiest face, these photos don’t do her justice. Let’s find this fur baby her forever home xx

The Fabulous Shakespaw Cat Cafe in Stratford is an absolutely amazing place for a day out for afternoon tea. They are working at rescue and rehoming cats and kittens in their care. They will be on Radio WM at 8:15 am on Saturday morning telling their story. To all our supporters listen out as they will be supporting us with rescue and rehoming and will very soon be taking on some of our cats that are waiting for their forever home. 😸

This gorgeous momma is Emma. She’s been a momma to her own three and surrogate to six more! She was bought to us from living in a feral colony, along with her babies. It was clear that she is far from feral and as her fear dissipated she has become the most affectionate cuddle monster ever. Now her momma duties are over, she can relax and be the young cat that she is. It’s approximated that she’s only about 18 months old herself. She’s been good with another cat but not been tested with dogs. This amazing girl deserves the very best after all she has been through. Please either call or message us as we don’t always see the comments. Thanks all x

We are so pleased to introduce brothers Donte and Alfie who were born on 27th June to PollyAnna with Momma C. These boys are full of mischief and totally adore each other. However, as like many white cats and kittens, both brothers are probably deaf from the tests we’ve done in rescue. This means they’ll need to be house cats in a safe environment. Ideally we would love the boys to be homed together but understand that this is not always possible. They also have a sister who is hearing and will be introduced later. Please send us a message or phone with any questions as we don’t always see comments posted. Can anyone offer a forever home to the purring pair?
