We’ve had the most lovely weekend away staying with friends. All very relaxed and had lots of fresh air. My son Who is scared of dogs has been playing with One all weekend! New bff! Back to school for two days and then it’s the holidays! I will have reduced studio hours for the next six weeks so may need to extend the lead time. Sorry I was out of action most of yesterday, this was part of the reason! J was given the citizenship award at school in an awards assembly. It was lovely! We managed to stay hidden at the back of the parents so he didn’t see us until he had been called up so I had no idea he was getting it! It’s all about contributing to school life and being a great role model 😊super proud of him. It’s a big school so, pretty amazing that he was picked 🤩 #proudmum

Is it too soon to start talking about Christmas planners?! These are some I made last year. They are all available on the website now and you can see what’s inside over there too. (link in comments) They should last a few years depending on how you use them!

Lots of new people in the last 24 hours so it must be time for a who are Doris and Fred post! I am Wendy and Doris & Fred were my grandparents, they died 20+ years ago and were awesome. Fred was a Dr of music and played the organ at St Mary’s church in Hampton and taught a lot of locals to play the piano, he was a very clever man, the most interesting thing is that he was totally blind for most of his life after having something wrong with his eyes as small child. He rememb...ered 10 colours and had a collection of buttons and stones in those colours that he could recognise by how they felt. I loved his little tins of precisely placed objects. Doris was a kind and very patient lady, she did a lot to help her community and was well known in Hampton. I used her handwriting as the basis for my logo. It took ages to find something that she had signed with their names rather than Nana or Mum! But a family friend had kept a card from her so kindly sent it to me. I hope they would be proud of what I am doing with their name.
