We are now closed for Winter and would like to thank all our lovely campers that visited us this season, we’ve really enjoyed our first year of running Doward Park Campsite and hope to see you all in 2019. We are open from 29th March and our online booking system is now taking bookings for next year. We have plans afoot for upgrades to the facilities for next season, which we are very excited about, will post some pic in the spring 😊 Sarah & Chris

Brilliant visit to our local free range egg supplier @Lewstone Farm, Ganarew just a few miles from Doward Park Campsite. Great to see the happy hens running free in the Orchard. Also picked up some fresh large eggs, high chance of double yolkers! #freerange #freerangeeggs #dowardparkcampsite #doubleyolk #doubleyolker #happyhens #farm #eggs #campsite

We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay over the late May bank holiday. Doward Park is a remarkably picturesque and peaceful site. Chris and Sarah offered a high standard of hospitality throughout which was reflected in the cleanliness of the facilities and upkeep of the grounds. The home-made cakes are so worth a try; we indulged in lemon drizzle cake on our last day which was delicious! Must plan our return!

User

We spent 4 nights there found the Chris and Sarah extremely helpful and friendly ; lovely quiet site the walks from the site are amazing and spent many happy hours exploring the woods with the blue bells and wild garlic and anemones a delight we walked Symonds hat one day and cruised up the river loads to do here a little gem

We recently returned from a camping trip to Doward Park Campsite. It's set in a stunning location above the Wye Valley amongst mature woodland and within walking distance of Symonds Yat. The campsite has a lovely reception/ cafe/ shop where you will receive a warm welcome from the new owners, Chris and Sarah. The cafe/ shop sells fresh coffee, tea, home made cakes, ice creams and cold drinks whilst the shop sells a range of basic supplies.

We stayed on a large grass pitch without electric hook up, which gave ample space between ourselves and neighbouring campers. We hired one of the site's wooden picnic benches which added to our comfort. There is a an adventure play area for children where they can enjoy playing on the equipment or make their own fun building dens etc. The facilities are kept very clean and the site is well managed; including ensuring that noise is kept down after 10 pm. There are a range of activities close by e.g. Walking, cycling, canoeing and is within a short driving distance of Ross on Wye and Monmouth. We would highly recommend this site and will be returning in the very near future!

Lovely campsite! Such a pleasant surprise to turn up and find it under new ownership. Reception is now light and bright and welcoming. Chris & Sarah are very friendly and helpful. The little shop has all the bits you might need and there is now homemade cake and coffee! Plus tables to sit inside & outside with use of the free WiFi. The facilities are kept clean - even on a busy weekend. We will definitely be back. Perfect place to explore the Wye Valley.

Recently visited this lovely little site for a two night break in our Campervan. Great location for walking and while small it is very pretty and well maintained. Showers and toilets are very adequate and some great hedged pitches. The only negative is no Wifi.

User
