Really good day out despite the extreme weather. Had 3 kids with us aged 3, 5 and 7 and they had a fun time. Queues weren't overly long and in particular the extra money to see Santa is definitely worth it as grotto really well decorated and Santa spent a lot of time with them and reminded the oldest he shouldn't stay on the i-pad for that extra 5 minutes! A goody bag with chocolate and a book was gratefully received followed by a further room with free face painting (quickly turned into Rudolph) and Santa's sleigh. Day rounded off with parade and fireworks making it a magical day for the kids.

Fantastic day out for my little boys second birthday, went to Thomas land and so many rides he could go on at a young age. There were other rides he could go on in the main Park another added bonus of a zoo! Will definitely go back as he gets older.

We were totally bowled over by Drayton Manor and would definitely recommend it, it far exceeded any expectations we had. We took our five year old daughter in half term and there was plenty for her to do, mostly in Thomas Land which she loved. We were impressed with the details and the overall look of the place, as well as the staff being friendly and keeping the place clean.

Very well ran theme park. Staff appear to be very and enjoy their job. The day I was there weather was less than good but still really enjoyed the day. I would recommend it for anyone with young kids up to young teens. The riders are fun but not as adrenaline filled as some so if your looking for that maybe another theme park might be a better choice.

Excellent day out. Very easy to get around . We love it here has its close to home . Good rides and reduced queue times if you pick a quiet day. Some food outlets can be a bit expensive. Bring your own picnic is always another option. Plenty benches and seating areas .

Free Military entrance to the park and only £20 for another adult and toddler, what a great bargain for a family fun day out! The little one loved Thomas Land and didn’t have to queue at all. Only a couple of rides closed but can’t complain as it’s the end of the season. Dino park and Zoo also. Not to be missed and will be visiting again next year!

Loved our first visit here. Very clean and well maintained. My two year old loved it as there was so much for him to do. We didn't queue for anything. That said, we did go midweek during term time so not sure how it would be at the weekend. Gate prices are very expensive but you can normally get a much better price if you book online beforehand.

Forget your worries for a day and bring the family to Drayton Manor park! I visit this park at least twice a year as it is only 2 Bus rides from Birmingham City Centre. The queue times are reasonable and there are rides for all of the family. Admittedly they cater more for the younger patron with areas such as Thomas Land but there are bigger rides for the more adventurous thrill seeker.

It is quite small for a theme park especially if you are used to Alton Towers. You could easily get round the park and ride everything you want within 2-3 hours on a good day. I would advise a walk around the zoo and a picnic before your second run around the park.

I take my own food because the price for theirs is just a little too high. I have bought a plastic cup from there for £5 which you can refill for free. I have been a little naughty because I bring the same cup back to the park every time for free drinks!

Drayton Manor Park is a great medium sized theme park that truly is fun for all of the family

Not a bad place, quite small for a theme park but the rides were good and not much queing time. Food was ridiculously expensive for example was nearly a fiver for a basic hot dog. The one bad thing I would say is that the staff were really miserable and quite rude in some areas. This is with the exception of a lovely lady in the photo booth by Thomas Land who was very happy to help when I asked for directions to the exit. If I hadn't had significantly discounted tickets I would have been really disappointed for the value for money ..i certainly wouldn't pay full price and will probably not go back. Management ..teach your staff basic customer service skills.

Well priced and not as busy as other theme parks. We were able to get on rides with not much waiting at all. Good food and drinks

Good day out more so for children now. Need to update or add better rides for adults. Alton towers is way better

We visited during the Christmas Holidays of 2016, expecting the advertised 'magical experience' . What we got was a freezing non magical boring time!!
The few rides that were opened were only suitable for young children, which meant our older kids were left out in the cold. I kid you not. Again, it was freezing in that park and there were very little places to harbour from the cold.
The weather couldn't be used as an excuse to stop the rides. In Dublin one year, we attended a Christmas event where it was equally as cold, but there were plenty of rides open for kids of all ages.
Ben 10 ride was the only half decent activity for our sorry brood. After 12 repeated times on it, they felt able to write a health and safety report.
The Santa experience was a total let down, lasting less than 5 minutes with the useless chap in the big red suit ! Let's just say he wasn't big on any kind of warm interaction.
The Santa photo was too expensive. It should have been included in the price and we gave the poor quality gifts away. They were not worth keeping.
Also, the photos at the end of the kiddi rides were way over priced.
The 4 D Cinema offered shelter, but this only lasted 15 minutes.
While the cinema itself showed a good quality 3 D short, the seat jerking was back breaking and out of sync.
The ice skating did not involve ice, wasn't slippy enough and the space was too small. Our kids took a few steps before getting off, disappointed.
Despite the above let downs there were some nice aspects to Drayton's Christmas theme: we liked the train ride and the station winter scene with Christmas lights and decorations. We also liked the balcony and tree live shows; the reindeer and the zoo was worth a visit.
The fireworks display over the lake was stunning and a nice end to what should have been a lovely day.
On the whole this visit would be suitable for a family with young children, but more warm places need to be provided.
For our older family it was mainly a wasted trip, due to the lack of rides for older kids.
We get more fun from Drayton Manor in the summer when more age appropriate rides are on and the weather is warmer.
Never again will we visit this theme park in the winter.
I am being gracious awarding three stars and am only doing so because Drayton is OK to visit in the Summer.

Overall the food is good (especially he pies!!) And the staff are good. The thrilling rides are good and the rest aren't bad. Great views of the park from the big wheel and a fantastic Fireworks display!!
