Very Proud to be accompanying some of the 2200 Royal British Legion members on the Great Pilgrimage in procession to the Menin Gate today.
A decade after the end of WW1, the British Legion (as it was then known) organised for veterans and war widows to visit the battlefields of the Somme and Ypres before marching to the Menin Gate in Ypres on 8th August 1928.
Exactly 90 years later, thousands of Legion representatives will recreate the 1928 Battlefields Pilgrimage and visit the same battlefields and then, on 8th August 2018, parade their branch standard and a wreath along the same route to the Menin Gate for the One Hundred Days ceremony to commemorate the last 100 days of WW1 and represent an entire generation that served while defending their country.

Just returned back to the States after a 16 day Coach tour throughout England,Ireland,Scotland,Wales. First, I would like to thank our 2 drivers Mark T. and Paul, for their professionalism and expertise in routing us throughout the U K. Wonderful disposition and personalities displayed by these gentleman over the course of our trip. We had Mark T. for 14 days, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this young man, wise beyond his years behind the wheel of the coach. Thank you Mark for a most pleasant ride thru the U K. Durham Coaches management you have wonderful representatives for your company in both Paul and Mark T. Best Regards Richard Stanchfield USA

User

Michael was the brilliant driver for my day trip from newcastle to whitby. I couldn't fault his friendly service and safe driving. The only thing I would suggest for the company is by them adding a Darlington pick up/ drop off it actually added about an hour onto the journey time for me, making it 3 hours approx to get from newcastle to whitby and back again, which I found abit long that I wasn't expecting.

User

Just looked at the excursions for 2018 same old boring trips you’ve done year in year out. I must have took my mum on them all and at 83 even she was bored. Get your thinking caps on and stop thinking there’s something exciting in the lakes. Years ago when little craft shops were around but in those places there’s nothing like that now. It’s a wonder your not struggling. Your planners have an easy job they pick the same trips every year

User

I would never book to travel with these even if I got it for free or someone paid me. Just reported an arrogant driver who nearly took off my wing mirror because he though it would be appropriate to go passes a filter lane and barge in front of me rather than filter behind where it was safe to do so so he wasn’t blocking traffic in the opposite direction. I have cameras fitted to me car so can prove it if he wishes to deny it!!!

User

I have given them one star only because you have to select a rating in order to write a review. My husband, son and myself went on a day trip to Edinburgh zoo. Journey started off waiting from 8.50am until 10.00am at Gateshead bus station waiting for a coach load of passengers to join us. When we eventually arrived at the zoo we were told we would be picked up at 5.00pm for our journey home. We arrived at pick up point 4.57pm and the coach had gone. Left stranded 130 miles from home, no emergency contact number available so had to make our own way back home via train, luckily we had bank cards with us!! I contacted Durham city coaches by email the next day who tried to play it down as a misunderstanding on our part. There was no misunderstanding they had simply left before the advised time (we had a witness to confirm we were there before 5.00pm). We have been compensated for the cost of getting home however we have had no apology, explanation nothing. I would never use this company again.
