“We were all really impressed with the whole trip, from the booking to the preview visit, tour and facilities. I can’t understand why we haven’t been over sooner! The children are still talking about it now. The information pack was the most useful and comprehensive I have ever been sent and it was a treat to have the whole place to ourselves! So much less stressful for the staff organising it and checking on the children. As a result we all had a wonderful time.” Elms School..., June 2017

Come on in, have a look round...

User

we went for the fireworks championships and had a great time although the exit time after the event was really long with big big queues due to the bottleneck effect! It took nearly an hour and a half to get out! Luckily the other exit became open and we

got out that way but our friends took the other exit and were even longer. I'm not sure on a suggestion as to how to improve that though! The fireworks were amazing, porta loos ok considering the crowds, and enough space to put chairs out and enjoy the show. You can take your own food so that is good not to have to be tied to the food on sale. We would go again, but be prepared if you have kids it is likely to be midnight before you get out of the venue, lots of.....ooooh are we moving....are we going out yet...how about now?! Great fireworks though, very impressive displays and lovely setting with the castle in the distance.

User

Wow! This castle has is exceptional. The grounds, arboretum, tree trail and lake are beautiful. The castle is breathtaking, hidden amongst the beautiful woodland. An amazing day out for a family, good value for money. Lovely catering in the tea room too. Highly recommend, we will return. The Mynett family.

User

We went early in the morning hoping to photograph the deer rut. We didn’t see the rut but did see plenty of deer. A herd of around 60 hinds with young, 3 adolescent stags and a large adult stag. The sight and sounds of these deer, especially the stags, is amazing. After the photography session, we got the Dogs out of the car and had a lovely walk around the parks and lakes. There are areas where dogs have to be kept on leads. There is some free parking near the castle and paid parking further round.

User

We went camping with the boys and were just 20 min drive away from the castle, so we went there on a Sunday afternoon on Father's Day.

The weather was nice, very sunny!

We all loved the castle! Definitely recommend it! Lovely place for everyone! My boys are aged 6 and 3 and there are also activities for children, like bug hunting, muddy kitchen and the rope trail, they both did all three. Plus there's the walk around the lake with stunning views!

There's also a maze! I loved it!!! I've always wanted to do one! It was really good fun! I think we spent a good 20 minutes trying to get to the centre... The way out was quicker.

By the end we were all tired from all the walking plus the weather was hot... but we enjoyed every minute! We didn't get to go inside the castle, for there was no more time... we got there at 1pm.

User

We love Eastnor and are regular visitors and have had a great day today again. The children loved the clay modelling today and have had hours of fun on the playground and on the swings.

User

Visited today with my family and our dog, Tilly. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so lovely to be able to take Tilly inside the castle. Staff were warm and welcoming, clearly knew lots about the castle. They made a real fuss of Tilly and our girls. Ice creams were delicious. Children loved the tree swings throughout the parks. Will definitely return but hopefully next time we will bring drier weather with us.

User

Such a beautiful castle in the Malvern Hills really enjoyed my day the only thing that annoyed me was the crowds when trying to take photographs but that's expected but other than that I will definitely visit here again soon!

User

Really lovely place, even in the rain! Was a joy to be able to take the dogs in and for the staff to treat them with the same kindness shown to humans! Great outdoor space for dogs whilst you settle down for a tea and scone!

The house itself was a delight, it's very clear that the family and staff are very proud of their home and enjoy sharing with the general public.

Great day out, thanks!

User

Great day at the vintage fair!! Had a privilege card given as a gift! What a gift! looking forward to returning! Even if it’s just for my kids to play in the play area!

User

Absolutely brilliant and Fantastic for all ages!! The best thing about my visit was that I was able to take my dog, not only around the gardens and grounds, but indoors as well! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the castle itself has been beautifully restored and is well presented. Reasonably priced with free parking, I would highly recommend a visit and shall without a doubt be returning. It’s made my Easter weekend thank you Eastnor Castle

User

What a great place to visit - the only comment would be slightly better access for less able people in the ground - we have visited places before where you have access to buggies and this made a huge difference and enable us to visit much more than we were able to do so.

User

Visited Eastnor Castle grounds for the Ball and Boe concert yesterday. Prior to the journey ai had researched the venue and read answers to FAQ's. Signposting to the venue was good. However, in the FAQ's it stated that there was no more than 120 metre walk from car parking to venue. This was far from the case. The walk from where we parked to the actual concert site was quite considerable. I have mobility issues and struggled with the distance. I witnessed some people in wheelchairs being pushed form the car park area and, with an uneven terrain, this looked uncomfortable for them. I know it is a deer park therefore a grassed area, but I feel people would have been better prepared if they had prior knowledge of the access issue. Maybe some temporary duck-boarding or similar would have been enough to make a difference. The venue itself is stunning however and we had a wonderful evening. The traffic control on exit was well thought out and there was very little delay.

User

Loved the fact it was a truly family day out made so much better by being able to bring the dog. On holiday it's so disappointing how many places we can't visit as it's not fair to leave a dog in the holiday home for a full day out.

Water bowls for the dogs, hooks to attach leads to to on picnic tables etc all good touches.

Didn't find any of the dog refreshment stops with complimentary dog biscuits mentioned on the website...

Having the dogs off lead area was a must for us with a young Labrador who loves to have time to just run.

Actually getting there wasn't easy though - found the signposting sporadic at best....

Also around the grounds signposting was very sparse and only having one set of toilets wasn't great.

Opening at 11 meant really wasn't enough time to do everything especially as spent an hour at the dinosaur show which my girls loved.

User

Well how disappointed was I when I left this beautiful place today ďż˝ first time visitor with my partner and my 2 year old girl, lured by the promise of an old fashioned, full to the brim fete to be met by about a dozen gazebos that had half empty tables, bbq turned off and not selling anything at 2pm, no soft drinks, only tea and coffee,no bar, a coconut shy with no coconuts, an elderly gent who deemed it ok to throw his dachshunds pooh behind a tree behind the smoothie stand, a forever living stand and an icecream seller who couldn't put a flake in the icecream! I am hugely disappointed as the castle looks beautiful but soo let down by a 'fete' that had less than half the stalls advertised! Poor show, wont be back again for a while I don't think , Shame ďż˝

User

Visited Eastnor Castle yesterday as a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Thought the entrance fee was fair (ÂŁ30). However, considering the place only opened at 11am we were horrified to find that the shop and ice-cream parlour closed at 4pm. To fit in the house, lunch, playground, walks and get back for refreshments before 4pm with young children is not possible. We had promised the children ice creams (it was the only way to get them round the lake/woodland walks). So to come back and find it closed was hugely distressing for them. The grounds are open until 5.30pm so, in the school holidays at least, would it be possible to keep the ice cream parlour open longer?

User

My husband and I attended the Michael ball and Alfie boe concert yesterday. I was disappointed with the ÂŁ20 parking fee ontop of the ticket price. No food or drink allowed inside the arena area which seems to be the norm now. Prices outrageous for extras. Now we come to the seating. Our block that we was supposed to be seated in was missing. No one seemed to know what was going on. Was sent around the area by the staff who hadn't got a clue. Finally located a lady who knew what was going on. Have us tickets in another block which to be honest wasn't good.

Ball and Boe were brilliant but the arrangements were abismal.

User

If you are just going for the land rover experience you may want to rethink, We brought tickets online for today it clearly stated no booking for experience and it’s a first come basis we arrived at 11.45am grounds opened 11am and were extremely disappointed as the land rover experience is fully booked!! How I do not know seeing as you can’t book apparently also there are people booking for tomorrow! Please be aware of this so you are not disappointed like we were. We have gone somewhere else but unfortunately with disappointed children and 40minutes out of our way and not even an apology and have to email and hope to get a refund.

User

Went to Eastnor castle to watch a concert on Sunday. The concert was amazing however the car parking arrangements were appalling. Firstly after paying ÂŁ200.00 for 3 concert tickets they charged ÂŁ20,00 to park the car in a field, never had this at outdoor concert venue before. Secondly on leaving the car park there was no management we sat for an hour without moving, in the end I had to walk down to the gate and complain at which point they then let the rows out in turns. People were becoming very angry and frustrations were running very high, I would not visit again,

User

We went to the vintage festival. Awful. Not as advertised. Will not go again. Don't bother. Supposed to be a vintage car procession only 4 old cars there ten mins before it was supposed to happen. It was advertised to start at 11am on the Saturday and we waited until 13:30 still nothing going on both music tents empty with chairs covering the dance floors. Only three clothing stalls a couple of brick a bracket stalls and about 7 goody stalls. Wasted a lot of entry fees getting in to what quite honestly an upmarket carboot sale. No entertainment not a festival of sorts at all. Think again before trusting the adverts for this over priced venue. Staff were unhelpful and clueless to what was going on either.
