We’ve been visiting Ego for many years in Lichfield and now Cannock and this weekend 18 of us descended for a hen dinner. The food and service were faultless, scrumpy steaks and lovely cocktails. Name cards on the table enabled the pre-order system to work like a charm :) My only grumble is that when the 241 cocktails are on and you just want a pint, a bottle of beer or a soft drink you wait in a queue for ages to be served which is frustrating. Fix this and you’ll have many more happy customers especially the guys who just need to pop and grab a pint xx � well deserving of a nice tip for the table service.

We visited today for a family members birthday and we had a lovely time the food was amazing and so was the service my young son happened to be sick (just my luck) I couldn’t have apologised more but the supervisor was amazing along with all the staff thank you again would 100% recommend and will be making another return trip minus the children haha

Fantastic meal at Ego last night. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Atmosphere in there is great, busy, but not to the detriment of the service. The German lady (sorry we didn’t get your name!) that waited on us was friendly, efficient and had a giggle with us. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back �

Ego is our "go to" place for family occasions and celebrations and never lets us down. Lovely staff, excellent service, great food and drinks and a really nice atmosphere.



We went last night for Valentine's, something we're a bit wary of as it's a set menu and a very popular night, which doesn't always work. As always Ego produced a lovely menu, great cocktails, exemplary service. We had a really lovely evening.

Went on Saturday evening with 3 friends and I must say I was very disappointed. Waited an hour for our first drinks, ordered a jug of water at the same time as the drinks, when the drinks arrived was told we couldn't have a jug of water because they had no jugs left. Was told there would be a wait for food, which was fine but when it did arrive I wasn't overly impressed. I understand Saturday night is a busy night but I don't think my friends and I will be rushing back.

Lovely food but very very slow service. Took 3 hours for us to get through a 3 course lunch. I ordered off the vegan menu and had a delicious starter and main course - lots to choose from too. Disappointing vegan dessert selection though - sorbet or a fruit salad, of which I ordered the latter. A sliced up apple, half an orange and 3 halved strawberries for £4.95 is extortionate. I wouldn't have bothered but I didn't want to be the only one not having one and I'm dairy intolerant so couldn't order anything from the main dessert menu even if I wanted to. Otherwise, a good meal though.

Waited for a drink about half an hour another hour after that before any food came. We had asked for water when we were first attended it didn’t come until I asked for it about an hour later. Food was OK but the service was shocking. I know there was a large group in but when this was booked put the staff on!!

We've visited Ego Cannock several times but last night felt very disappointed. A Saturday evening we understand it’s probably one of the busiest times so booked a table.

Table was booked for 7pm finally after waiting for the table to be vacated we sat down at 7:20. We skipped starters & went straight for main courses that finally arrived at 8:40 no apology and frankly on this occasion not worth the wait.

I don’t think we’ll be rushing back which is a shame as midweek we’ve always felt the service is good & value for money.

Spent nearly £200 in here last night but was told couldn't have a straw for our cocktails!!!

Was told they were banned until the replacement paper ones were introduced. Then noticed they served several cocktails to other tables with straws!

Also several members of staff were as miserable as sin. Particularly one male who seemed like management was so rude when he served our food. Such a shame as the food was good. Having said that several items on the menu weren't available.
