As the day of the Vumba memorial draws to a close, we honour those that lost their lives 40 years ago; for their love and compassion and for their dedication in the mission to spread the love of Christ with those who so desperately needed it.

Today we remember. Today the families of our courageous missionaries who lost their lives in the Vumba massacre, gather together to remember them. The two day memorial is to be held in the newly built memorial garden at Elim International Centre, Malvern.

On 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 Glasgow Elim Church are hosting the powerfully moving ‘A Call to Mission’ event.
An evening of worship, preaching from Iain Hesketh (the new International Missions Director) and drama which aims to see the Church surrender to our Saviour’s call to ‘go to all the world.’

Today we will be having our final farewell to Paul Hudson who has served so selflessly over the last 5 years in the role of International Missions Director. We honour him for his strong leadership and pastoral heart that has deeply impacted so many; the Missions Department, our missionaries and many partners around the world. This is a new and exciting season for Paul as he steps into his new role of Regional Leader. We praise God for the way He has used Paul in building His kingdom during Paul’s time in the Missions Department, and we pray that it may long continue. Paul, thank you!!

Back to earth Mark 9: 8 “Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus. 9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 10 They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant.
