Went for afternoon tea on 7th March 2018 with my mom. It really was amazing. The sandwiches and cakes looked like artwork. Clearly lots of time taken and attention to detail. Presented beautifully. All so fresh and really tasty. Service was also really fantastic. Can't recommend this enough as a treat for someone special. We had a lovely afternoon

User

We went on a school trip today and had a fabulous time. The children were so excited and were still talking about the visit when we arrived back to school. Thank you for such a fabulous day Penny and Will

User

We had a lovely day today strawberry picking such good value for the price, really had to get underneath to get the big juicy ones but made it so much fun especially for little 4 year old Riley

User

We decided to go Strawberry picking for Father’s Day this year. The strawberries very plentiful and very sweet. Afterwards we decided to go for breakfast at 11.30 but had finished. We all decided to have the Sunday lunch as it smelt beautiful. It certainly didn’t disappoint. I had the turkey and beef the meat was tender. There was a good selection of vegetables i even tried the vegetable purée which was delicious. My toddler doesn’t like meat so only had the veg and gravy. The staff only charged £1.75, which was very reasonable. All of the staff we came into contact with had fantastic customer service skills. Will will definitely be coming back. Thank you x

User

We are Sunday lunch regulars and usually once in the week as well! Always enjoy good food, lovely selection of fresh vegetables. We've been coming for many years so that really says it all!

User

Visited the farm today after seeing the bbq packs on here. Was so happy with them and the service from all the staff was so friendly.

User

Restaurant is amazing quality fresh food, staff are so friendly and helpful. Catered to all individual requirements.

Pick your own was lovely experience for young and older alike, throughly enjoyed. Fruit was so sweet and tasty, perfect day out

User

Myself and my two friends came today for afternoon tea today, well what can I say it was probably one of the best afternoon tea’s I’ve ever had!

The sandwiches and cakes were amazing and the little extras made it extra special.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating!

Thank you, I will definitely be returning 😊

User

My other half and I came this morning for the first time. We purchased some goods from the wonderful shop and then stopped off in the restaurant for coffee and cake. We both had latte’s, my other half a piece of Victoria sponge and I a slice of bread and butter pudding with custard. It was delicious. We had a lovely time! We will be back again very soon!

User

Great place. We often visit to go in the shop but end up eating in the restaurant quite often. Great food and the staff are very friendly and helpful

User

Fabulous breakfast, especially the “home grown” sausages and bacon. Also make sure you take home a bag of pork scratchings from the shop. 🐷🐽

User

Brilliant Sunday Lunch. Roast Beef and Turkey was super tasty as was the veggies, nice and fresh. Puddings were to die for. Can recommend the home made apple Pie and the Cheesecake was sublime! Staff were so helpful as we were a table of 3 with 2 disabled persons. One being 93yrs. Needed a bit of help with carrying etc. Sat in the Conservatory where the view was lovely and restful. Especially on this very cold but sunny Feb day. Can’t recommend enough.

We Love Essington Farm and have been coming for years. We come 10+ Times a year for various events . The Bluebell Walks, Pumpkins and of course The Strawberries . It’s always a lovely afternoon out. We came yesterday for an annual “first week of the Summer Holiday” Fruut Pick and unfortunatelyThe Crops were poor which is understandable due to the weather we have had but The Shop compensated and we had fun getting the Grandchildren to fill the trolly with veg and bought some Sausages for they’re tea ( lovely). Then we sat outside and enjoyed hot Sausage Rolls and Cream Tea. So all was as usual perfect..... until a group of kitchen staff came out and sat at one of the tables for they’re lunch, one in particular was extremely intimidating, instead of just enjoying her break and chatting with her. Colleagues she chose to sit and glare at myself and Grandchildren with a very confrontational approach to us ( grandkids are 4 &1) we were not causing any noise or nuisance in fact my hisband picked up some litter off the grass which someone else had left and I cleared my table and took our tray in when we had finished, so the whole thing baffled me tbh for the 10 or so minutes that we remained (we decided to leave as the whole experience was too uncomfortable ) she just sat there and “snarled “ at us , it was unnecessary and may not seem like a big deal but to us it was . I have no doubt this woman would have turned nasty and like I said confrontational if given the chance which is unacceptable when your having a family afternoon out at the local farm . Whoever she was ..... she ruined our afternoon and in my opinion if she can’t behave herself and act civilised in public perhaps should eat her lunch in her workplace and not in public .

User

Nice day out for whole family, our kids have enjoyed picking up strawberries lovely place to be especially if the weather is perfect

User

Lots of strawberries to pick, all at chest height too. Very expensive for PYO fruit compared to other farms locally.

Dissapointed the raspberry and rhubarb were poor quality.

User

After a lovely morning strawberry picking we decided to try your restaurant for food, don’t get me wrong the food was lovely. What I didn’t agree with was that you brought adults food out very shortly after ordering only to leave the children’s boxes (sandwich apple squash and crisps) for nearly half an hour! This leads us to a lot of stress and an u enjoyable dinner as children don’t understand why they were waiting for so long!

User

My family used to visit here every year and it was lovely. I visited after a two year break today and I must say I will not be returning. The atmosphere has gone, it don't feel family orientated anymore. The price of strawberries has literally doubled if not more. It used to be cheaper to buy from you, now it's cheaper at the supermarket and nicer tasting too.

User

2 years in a row now I’ve gone to pick strawberries and there hasn’t been anything left, very disappointed children both times! It’s obvious it’s going to be busy in this weather so why not grow more, with the extortionate prices that are charged surely they can afford to expand?

User

just had 4 tiny triangles of Luke warm cheese on toast advertised as welsh rarebit which it wasn't for £5.45 wow thats some mark up !! after complaining the 2 ladies next to us had the same problem 1 ordered the luke warm rip off as well, the waitress said the chef would do us both another slice they gave up waiting after 15 mins i gave it another 5 and told the waitress i would wait no longer she checked the kitchen and they hadn't even been started, SO much for trying to keep your customers POOR VERY POOR service and food...
