User

What can I say we had the best day of our lives here, yesterday 14th July 2018. To the TEAM that made our Wedding perfect Thank You. To the Chef you absolutely nailed it!

If your reading this and thinking of having you wedding venue here, you won’t go far wrong. I loved every moment.

User

We have stayed here a few times over the last 2 years as The Joy Swift Murder Weekends are held here.

The hotel is lovely, the food is always delicious & the staff are friendly & helpful.

We have just got back from another weekend here & I would like to thank the staff who went above & beyond to help set up birthday surprises for two guests in our party. We turned up at reception with a cake & decorations galore & they didn't bat an eyelid & everything was set up as we asked. They even kept the cake in their fridge all weekend as we were too full to eat it.

We really appreciated it all so thank you.

Stayed here for the weekend with my boyfriend, it's a beautiful hotel and we loved it. When you first drive in, it's pretty impressive with the setting, it is located in lovely grounds which are well looked after and the building itself is stunning. Check in was friendly and efficient, room was nice, comfortable beds and had tea/ coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV, safe etc. After a meal at the local pub, we came back to the hotel for drinks at the bar and it had a nice relaxed feel with sofas scattered around, we happily enjoyed the chilled atmosphere whilst having some drinks. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans etc as well as croissants, Cereal toast and tea and coffee. Only about 10- 15 mins drive from Stratford upon Avon which is where we were visiting. Would definitely return.

User

Lovely food, excellent service - nothing too much trouble for the staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

User

User

Fantastic all round! Booked as a surprise for my partners birthday. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. But the food was absolutely divine!! Not eaten food as tasty anywhere else! Even the breakfast was fantastic. Thankyou for a fantastic weekend, we will be back!

User

Very good hotel stayed one night had lovely evening meal, breakfast. Bought this through goupon brilliant deal. Lovely swimming pool to. Would recommend it

User

Just returned home after a 1 night stay to celebrate anniversary.

The most expensive hotel we've stayed in near Stratford and the only one not to offer complimentary drink or even a card in room for us !!!

Room was smaller than we thought but was still nice. Bed had a bit of a soft roll together mattress and bathroom bit tired !!

Restaurant was lovely...very small menu but our food was delicious.

Drinks expensive (£20.00 for 2 large glasses)

But we don't mind...it was a celebration weekend.

Staff were all lovely but those little personal touches would make all the difference.

Just returned from Ettington chase as a group of 10 for a young 60 th birthday weekend. First impressions were lovely. The food was absolutely lovely with lots of choice. Two issues thou we stayed on the 2nd floor and two of the rooms had a stench I could only explain as sewerage. I had to empty a full bottle of dettol in both toilets and bath. The good reaction to our complain, was we could move other rooms, however as we all wanted to be on the same floor, the dettol smell was better than the initial smell, so my friends decided to stay put. Funny how the female at reception tried to explain what might be causing the smell. Being 10 housing professional and knowing if you maintain your stock you would not experience such issues, made us all laugh, but we did not elaborate. The hotel could do with a upgrade in the rooms, and some corridors, but we made it what we wanted, and just had fun. The woman as reception at 11.45 as we were leaving, needs a lesson in customer care. A little smile and eye contact goes a long way madam!! Dont think we will be revisiting unless there has been an internal face lift.

I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels over the years, traveling around the country with my job. First impression was very good, nice welcome on arrival, bedroom was more than adequate with trousers press, free safe etc. Asked about booking a meal in the restaurant, informed the earliest we could eat was 8pm so we went for a drink in the bar, bit of a shock when I asked for 2 pints of beer, gave the bar tender £10 expecting change only to be told he wanted another 20p, expensive couple of pints, why charge extortionate prices and have a empty bar, we also observed the restaurant was very quite, when I asked if we could go in earlier I was told no as they where expecting a big party? One hour later, no big party and we where allowed in, would have given the hotel a 5, especially has it has a lovely pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Unfortunately the ridiculously priced beer and poor customer service at the restaurant entrance lost them a point, would I go back? Sorry can’t afford your bar prices.

User

Hotel is fine - breakfast is great - pool really nice - our only down is the restaurant, very limited menu and menu is really difficult to read in the subdued lighting. Ending up gong to The Checkers public house in the village where we were made really welcome and had a great meal

User

Stayed here for two nights, had a deal with first night food with the room, the food was lovely and the staff were really friendly In the restaurant and bar. Room a bit dated with a small window, so needed lights on at all times. Pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Front of house staff appeared a bit rude and basically shrugged his shoulders and laughed when my partner told him the issue, maybe some work needs to go into their attitude (as I can see I'm not the first to point this out).

User

Staff were very friendly and the hotel is a very reasonable price for British Grand Prix weekend and being in close proximity to the track. The one thing letting it down was the quality of the room - so so stuffy, no air conditioning of any kind, a small window which can only be opened a fraction and a very dated TV. Rooms need improvement but otherwise all other facilities are spot on.

User

My wife and I have stayed twice and enjoyed a lovely nights stay this weekend, I’ve read some awful reviews and yes the bar prices are astronomical but other than that very happy with our stay. Staff are very professional and extremely friendly. We’d definitely stay again

User

Good food nice rooms. Downside delivery truck outside bedroom window at 5.30, didn’t have the decency to turn the engine off. So end of nights sleep

User

Room and bathroom were tired and out dated, especially bathroom suite. Simple things like not having a light switch at bedside to turn off main room light. Have stayed in nicer and more modern Premier Inn's. Very cheap toilet paper too. For what we paid to stay there for two nights all food inclusive the food was pretty poor. Prawn cocktail for starter on first night was dismal, tiny portion no sauce and a crappy thin triangle of bread with more butter on than was bread. Also they began clearing the table of plates before others dining on same table had even finished eating- just rude! Felt like serving us was an inconvenience. First mornings venture in to the restaurant for breakfast and the waiter was very rude to is about where we should sit. Hotel geared towards large groups / business delegations and has no personal touch for other guests. Didn't use leisure facilities as didn't have time. Would not stay here again.

User

Attended a wedding here this weekend and first impressions were great however...... the DJ that had been booked through the venue had been missed and the bar ran out of of drinks (this was at the start of the night). The lady that was hosting the wedding was beyond rude when she came over to the mother of the groom and waved a bottle in her face and accused her of drinking her own booze and took it away. I am a conference and events manager and have ran my fair share of weddings this is a BIG NO NO!! Hope they have lodged a huge complaint (as they should) this is not customer service at all xx

User

Tired rooms, miles from anywhere, no room service or bar type food so you're stuck with heavy restaurant food or having to drive for "normal" food. £12 for a glass of wine. Gym has 2 treadmills crammed into a space with a bit of kit. One surly receptionist (one lovely one too) and a restaurant manager whose face leaked his annoyance because his customers didn't focus on him.

Not my favourite place.
