Ettington Park Hotel

About Ettington Park Hotel

Ettington Park, set in 40 acres of Warwickshire countryside nestled in a valley with the River Stour. Part of the Hand Picked Hotels collection.

Ettington Park Hotel Description

Set in the green Stour Valley, Ettington Park is a country house like no other – a place full of historic extravagance. Built from six different types of Cotswold stone, it remains a stunning
example of neo-Gothic architecture. But the house’s attraction runs far deeper than bricks and mortar. This is a place where the little
touches are just as important as the grand surroundings, where you soon feel like a family guest and where ‘me-time’ takes on new meaning.

Yesterday my husband and I experienced a Wonderful Champagne afternoon tea.

We were served our tea in the Great Drawing room. Looking out over the beautiful grounds and chapel bathed in Autumn colours and sunshine. We couldn't have chosen a better day for this treat. Thank you for the excellent service provided by your staff.

Wow!!!! Thank you so much to everyone at Ettington Park Hotel for making our wedding on Sunday such an amazing experience for everyone. Special thank you to our events manager who totally calmed me down when we had a wedding dress hitch (which involved a vital hook & clasp breakage) and reassure me that it would all be fine and that I looked stunning. Nothing was too much trouble and we truly felt like royalty for the day. Everything was perfect, the chef & his team, the silver service, the porters, reception, bar tenders, housekeeping, concierge (so glad to have Damon on duty, we've got to know him so well over the years of coming to Ettington Park, so really glad he was part of our day!), duty manager and of course our Wedding Coordinator, Becky who had to deal with all my emails which she did with such promptness and accuracy. Honestly, I cannot thank you all enough, you have all helped create a truly wonderful moment in time. I wish I could give you a 1000 stars!!!!

Wonderful location and lovely hotel. We stayed at and went to a wedding at Ettingdon Park Hotel. We were met on arrival by welcoming staff who helped us with our luggage to our room. As it was also our Wedding Anniversary the hotel gave us complimentary drinks, which was lovely. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The food at the hotel and for the wedding were great and all looked like it went smoothly for the lovely couples wedding. Would recommend for staying at the hotel or booking an event there. Very Good

User

We had our Wedding here 14th August. Becky, William and the rest of the team did a great job. The food was perfect, dinner service professional all our guests raved about the beautiful venue and great service. All the professional such as Lou with Love cakes and Amanda Luther florist, green claw disco, all recommended by Ettington were fabulous and made our day perfect.

User

This is so outstanding in my view and Daniel a great asset to the team. I just can’t wait to return.

User

This hotel, the staff, the food, the grounds, our room, excellent! Absolutely the best experience we have had traveling England, Scotland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Sweden etc. etc.

You MUST stay here when you visit Straford-upon-Avon. It’s positioned nicely to visit Stratford as well as Warwick (and you MUST visit both). Warwick is a gem.

The treatment you will receive leading up to your dining experience is one of a kind (literally). Make your reservations early and enjoy, the dining room is dripping with history and simply a magical place to feast.

We will be back here soon!

User

The location is perfect, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable, the food is excellent and the staff.... well, the staff are the heart of the hotel and it's impossible not to fall in love with the place. I can think of many reasons to return to Ettington Park Hotel, and none not to!

User

Lovely weekend break with friends.

Very relaxing setting wish we had stayed for more than one night

User

Lovely and telaxing place, good service, everything is good

User

Just back from our two day pre-Christmas break where we spent Friday and Saturday at this wonderful hotel. Our room was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed, the staff were friendly, helpful and fun, very good service in the bar and the restaurant, food was tasty and imaginative; the mansion itself is truly beautiful, the only down side to this hotel for us was children and weddings, a young child totally spoilt the atmosphere in the drawing room on Friday evening by being noisy, in fact we waited till 9:30pm to see if the parents might take him to bed but in the end we had to quickly finish our drinks and go to our room, we were rather angry as we would have liked to have sat in the drawing room and had another drink and relaxed after dinner. The other issue with our stay was the noise from the wedding guests, banging and running around the corridors on Saturday night. We loved our stay but the two issues mentioned might make us not want to visit again. We had a couple of things that marred our stay but please don't let this put you off staying here, it's a lovely hotel and we would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff (especially Tim) who made our stay pleasurable.

User

Have just stayed for two nights, the surroundings excellent and the food was superb. Very nice welcome on arrival, and the staff very helpful and polite. The hotel is very clean but does get let down by amount of cobwebs in the dining room and the doors were grimy in our room. But don’t let those comment put you off everywhere is pristine so these things I found stick out . Considering how old the hotel is the bathrooms are well appointed with everything you need to hand and plenty of hot water while showering. Would definitely visit the hotel again and hope to soon.

User

Fantastic escape for us back to where we got married, as ever amazing building, fab suites and lovely staff..see you again soon 🍾

User

Beautiful hotel and grounds. We only had a one night stay but wished it could have been longer. The manor house was amazing and the grounds were equally amazing. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

User

Attended a wedding here and what an amazing venue. Lovely grounds and the staff were excellent.

User

Absolutely beautiful building & gardens.

They have done a fantastic job of renovating & maintaining it all. The bedroom was fantastic, period features but met all your modern expectations. The rest of the building seem well kept and decorated, beautiful beautiful period features throughout. The outside was just as grand, the stonework, old chapel and grounds kept us busy for hours. The Spa was spot on for a Hotel Spa, immaculately clean, fresh and modern. The breakfast was perfect. And finally the staff were all welcoming & friendly.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would love to come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

User

A great place to stay for some R n R, set in wonderful grounds, great staff and the most powerful jacuzzi I’ve been in and the hotest steam room in a chilled out spa. A great place to stay for a day out in Stratford. The walks from the reception are worth doing to take in the local countryside and grounds.

User

Had a fabulous night here last night the staff were friendly nothing was to much trouble. Food was excellent and the bedroom would recommend to anyone well done to every one at Ettington Park Hotel. xx

As a birthday treat, my family took me to the Ettington Park Hotel for one of their special teas. Unfortunately, the unusually severe waitress told us on arrival that we should have booked, even though there was no-one else there having tea. So we persevered and after a bit of a mix up (not being given the menu to choose our tea, we nearly finished up with the full afternoon tea including sandwiches at a rather overpriced £20 per person) we finally got our cream teas. They are possibly a little expensive at £10 per person but you're paying for the refined surroundings and the Earl Grey was perfect, served in a white china teapot, with delicious clotted cream and jam accompanying the still warm freshly baked scones. Staff were very courteous though our initial welcome was a little cold as mentioned above. All in all, the ambiance of the place with its beautiful high ceilings and architecture, huge oil paintings and the stunning views from the lounge bay window made it an afternoon to remember.

User

A really wonderful place in a picturesque location. Our first visit was for afternoon tea. It was a gift from friends and it didn’t disappoint. Sandwiches and cakes were freshly prepared and the staff were very polite and attentive. We will most definitely be visiting again. A really wonderful afternoon
