Fresh out of dry storage after 4yrs worth of accumulated dust and straw, in this week for a full ramp inspection and estimate as a restoration project, this Coupé has a lot of memories so when finished it can live next to Jackie's Electric Blue Plus.

I've been privileged enough to have now celebrated both the 20th and 25th anniversary of the Fiat Coupé in Turin. Club del Coupè Fiat did a excellent job of organising the weekends events and meals, thank you again for such a great weekend.

Simon dropped BB of last week so I could make a start of his restoration,, first out was the Plus interior so it could be sent off for repair, going to need one panel and clean and colouring so should look smart once finished. Plans are to dig deep, engine out and tackle all the rust, fresh paint resprayed to the lines I originally set over 10 years ago so a fresh BB once finished.

The goal was to restore Phil's LE so himself and Fran were able to travel to Turin to enjoy celebrating the 25th anniversary, this goal was reached and along the way we've had ups and downs but the final pictures show that with dedication and the budget you can enjoy a factory fresh Fiat Coupé, another stunning example wouldn't you say 😍

Purchased last year as a project this 20VT6 looks like its lived in a car port with the backside to the weather, front is in really good condition as all the usual areas which corrode are solid, back end, floors not so good but all repairable. Rear trailing arm bearings are shot, also a leak on the oil cooler pipes so a few more items that will need ticking off the list before Adam can have it back before he starts the rebuild.

Apologies if I haven't caught up with your messages yet. Due to family commitments I'm only able to be at work for 4 days so keeping all the boxes ticked is proving very challenging.

Bought by Steve's wife as an Xmas present this Sprint came in for a ramp inspection earlier this year, a very original example with 87k on the clock, smoking issues when cold, baggy feel to the suspension and many service items long over due for renewal. Finished now ready for road testing and an A/C re-gas this tidy Coupé will be a joy to drive this summer.

It's getting busy here this morning at the NEC, lids to see in hall 5 so if you're passing do drop in on the club stand.

I purchased this last year from Europe and brought back to the UK to add to my Coupé collection, I nearly have a full set. Made only as a LHD model and powered by the same engine platform as the Fiat Barchetta this 1999 Moon grey 16v puts out 131bhp through a 5sp box, no LSD and stops on the same single pot callipers as the later 20v n/a model. It's completely standard with a factory fitted body kit and what I love about this car is the BBS alloys, the black waffle seats and ...the subtle silver additions you can easily miss the first time you look round it, the interior door handles and wing mirror hinge covers, white clocks, silver honeycomb grill and LE style head lights, it's pretty unique here in the UK and it's design and colour proceeded much of out later 20v models, first released in 96 for the purist this is pretty special with all the additions we didn't see on UK examples. I'm sharing this today for all the people who won't be able to make the NEC Practical classic show this weekend as this 1.8 example will be on the Fiat Coupé club stand, and for the people going to the show if like me you've only ever seen pictures of one this weekend will be perfect time to have a nose around it so do pop along, I'll be on the stand on Sunday.

You can hear a couple of hydraulic lifters still tapping away as the engine warms after its prime and first start, ramp tested idling like this for 20 minutes and all quite after the fans kicked in, happy days 😊

End of day 5 and happy we've reached this point after all the effort and hours, engine ramp testing finished, clutch master failed while bleeding so all stop that side along with the brakes but they're built and ready for wheels as soon as the liners are done. In all a very challenging week but well worth it as this will be a stunning example once finished.
