MY BOXING STICKS (non-leather) have arrived! Here is Babs who runs an amazing community boxing club on a voluntary basis here in Leamington, demonstrating how they are used. They will help to protect my tennis elbow and enable clients to train with more accuracy. I did some voluntary work for the club last year and taught the kids yoga after their boxing class and joined in with the boxing of course! ŌØż’ĖÅ­¤źŖ

GOING AWAY is always an opportunity to reconnect with nature in so many ways. It inspires me to read, write, paint, run and walk in places of natural beauty. This weekend I have been immersed in the work of Mary Oliver who captures the language of Mama Nature like no other. HOLISTIC FITNESS TRIATHALON 2019: My work is about making sports related exercise fun and accessible to women & girls of all ages, sizes, shapes and abilities. My message is that you don't need to do a marathon or triathalon to be super fit and healthy. By taking a holistic approach to fitness you can minimise injury and spend less time training and more time planning and cooking nourishing meals (fat loss is about 80% diet + 20% exercise related for those interested). To pr...actice what I preach I am going to hold a Holistic Fitness Triathalon for my 48th birthday in October. To promote the holistic aspect of this event the focus will also be on raising money for abused animals in care (charity tbc) and will take place in an outdoor location to draw inspiration and energy for mother nature. So what's involved!

AYURVEDIC YOGA TEACHER TRAINING STARTING OCTOBER 2019
PARTICIPATION: this highly experiential teacher training is designed for those who have some experience of attending yoga classes and are familiar with a range of basic yoga postures and practices. The course may also be suitable for existing yoga teachers who want to refresh their foundational knowledge, and teach yoga as a therapeutic tool from it's original ayurvedic perspective. For fitness and other health professio...nals who already have an understanding of functional anatomy and physiology, this training is an excellent addition to your portfolio and will enable you to offer a tailored, holistic approach to your work and greatly widen your clientele.
COURSE OVERVIEW: you will learn to teach and adapt safe, effective and engaging yoga classes within the context of contemporary ayurvedic medicine for a wide variety of students/clients. This also means examining diet, exercise and lifestyle as part of a whole systems approach to health management and wellbeing. The course content is informed by research I have undertaken at Warwick Medical School.
COURSE OUTCOMES: on successful completion of the course you will leave with a wealth of tools to teach a range of yoga styles for different types of classes and design bespoke yoga sessions for individual clients. You will also be able to offer ayurvedic wellbeing consultations, workshops and seminars as well as applying your knowledge to your own practice of self-care. You will be able to specialise as an Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher/Therapist or a Holistic Fitness Coach.

My WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON JabFIT & Yoga class 1.30 - 2.30 PM is now open to MEN as well as WOMEN. All ages, abilities, sizes and shapes are welcome! Non-contact fitness boxing and body conditioning followed by yoga, mindfulness and chocolate!
