Watched the lovely Marie work magic on my daughter at great north show. My daughter already had a butterfly by her the previous year. This was a long awaited Xmas pressie and the result is stunning. Marie is the sweetest person, the aftercare instruction and advice is second to none. I have heard much dubious advice locally, and would, as a parent, highly recommend this studio for any first piece.I was slightly gutted at leaving show with no ink myself, but seeing my daughters over last few days has confirmed a years wait for Marie is worth it!

Really great place to get a tattoo done. Friendly atmosphere run by great people. I've had two done there by Adam and love both so much. Couldn't rate the place highly enough. I'd always go back there for all my tattoo needs in future.

My brother has had tattoos at Folklore before, so came highly recommended. But it was only when we were considering getting tattoos to dedicate to Linkin Park earlier this year that really -living in London- we felt overwhelmed on where/who we would trust or even afford to get our tats done.



Just so happened we were in Tamworth for a few days after our return from NY so we thought why not. To be honest we didn’t even know if they’d have space to fit us in.



But they did and the whole experience was so warm and friendly, which was great considering boyfs first tat. Fantastic chilled atmosphere, spacious and though clean, Folklore has none of that over-clinical feeling that you might get elsewhere. Aftercare instructions/pack was excellent too.



Very pleased, no fuss and will 100% return next time.

It was my first tattoo experience at age 52. I had 2 flower designs on my foot and wrist. Maria took care of me and was very professional. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and I am really pleased with the outcome. After care advice was great and they are nearly healed after just 1 week. Thank you all.

I waited until I was 33 but after a number of conversations with good friends, Folklore was recommended to me.



I finally took the plunge for the first time last August and had a tattoo with one of the regular guest artists Daniel Flower.



Despite being quite nervous I had a full day session and was put at ease with the friendly and relaxed environment.



The day went really well and I had such a great experience - I have since been back for another 5 full day sessions and have thoroughly enjoyed each day.



Although I have not had any work done by either Marie or Adam, I have seen many of their works being created close up and can definitely recommend either artist.



I am really looking forward to having my next piece and I fully intend to get something by both Marie and Adam in the New Year.

Have had most of my tattoos done my Marie & Adam. I can’t recommend them enough! Marie’s floral work is second to none, she’s brilliant at all things nature inspired and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my artwork. The shop is fabulous and clean and they’re a joy to spend time with too!! ��

Had my tattoo done today by Adam it was a tinkerbell with my daughters name and dob first time going here and it is the best place so far will definitely be going back already thinking of my next one great people, all custom drawn and great atmosphere thank you again loving it :)

Can’t recommend enough! Marie did my first tattoo for me and I couldn’t of wished for a better tattooist, Supported me throughout my 4 hour sitting and helped me out massively when I stressed about aftercare. Will definitely be back in sometime in the future �.

Can’t rave about Marie enough, I explained my ideas and what I wanted included in the design and she absolutely blew me away with the final piece. Beautiful artwork such a talent. Very down to earth and made me feel at ease during the sitting. After care instructions were clear and I had no problems. I can’t stop looking at it, thank you so much highly recommend to anyone.

Came to FTS to have two half sleeves done by Marie. She went above and beyond with the designs, making sure to talk me through my ideas and helping to perfect them into artwork that worked seamlessly altogether. Marie stayed an hour + over time to make sure to complete both tattoos in the single day sitting each time, which I cannot express how appreciative I am! Marie also went to the effort of making sure that when doing the second design, it was going to be complimentary to the first tattoo and parallel it in some aspects, then took extra time and care to make sure things were edited once the transfer was on my arm to make sure for the perfect fit.



The studio vibe is incredibly friendly and relaxed. It was a pleasure spending two full days with Marie and Monique! The shop has an awesome, eclectic style and there's always good music on and an endless supply of hot drinks. It's also located right in the town centre, so it's incredibly convenient to reach and go get food to fuel you up. Marie made sure each time that I was sat comfortably and had rest breaks when needed, which was greatly appreciated as a chronic pain sufferer. The whole experience was miraculously relaxed and easy going!



The first tattoo is already healed and is as crisp in detail and vibrant as the day I got it- which Marie proved when she took before and after photos to put side by side! As somebody who suffers from keloid scarring and has a previous loss of ink at a different studio, I was anxious about the results or needing touch ups- which is definitely not the case with Marie's work! She's packed plenty of detail in without overdoing it and my skin has healed up beautifully. No ink has been lost and there's absolutely no scarring - coming from someone with keloid scar tissue, it's something of a miracle! I believe this is down to Marie's thorough explanation and suggestion of the wet healing process she encouraged me to use that she applies to her own tattoos. It's clearly done the trick and the after care of soothing and wrapping up the tattoo when it was fresh also seemed to calm my tattoos down a lot quicker. The entire healing process took about 20 days for the first tattoo, without any itching or problems. The tattoo wash, oil and instructions card Marie left me with were incredibly clear and easy to follow and I really do think that made the world of difference with the quality of healing.



It's very clear that Marie is excited for every project she takes on and that she wants to provide the best long term results, that she wants to be proud of her work in future. I've already got a third tattoo in mind that I'd like for Marie to do someday. I highly recommend FTS and Marie's work! Everything about my new ink and the experience was beyond perfect. Five stars doesn't do FTS justice! Highly recommend and worth every penny for an unforgettable experience and tattoos that are a work of art!

All I can say is....WOW, paid a visit to the studio in Tamworth. Marie (great artist) did a great job on my tattoo. all custom work surpassed my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the out come, not only do I have an awesome new tattoo but a excellent piece of art! all the guys at the studio made it a pure pleasure to visit. the aftercare advice was second to none, these guys truly love what they do and the art they produce!

Absolutely brilliant and talented artists who are passionate about their work. Marie designed and inked my dream tattoo, I have wanted it for years and finally found the right person for the job. I LOVE it. On the day I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, and kept in good supply of cuppas (Thanks Emma). Marie and Adam (whose beard is excellent) are both lovely and easy to chat to. Aftercare is talked through very thoroughly, which is a big help. Also the studio is a curio wonderland, lots of inspiration around you! Very highly recommended by me. Go there!
