Congratulations to Harry from Francesco Group Shrewsbury, he’s won Hairdressers Journal’s Barber of the Year at Salon International! Well done Harry! 🎉

Did you know that when you have your hair Cut & Coloured the person doing it doesn’t have to be legally qualified? For doctors, nurses & dentists state registration is mandatory, but for hairdressers it isn’t.
Ben Dellicompagni is working with the Hair & Barber Council to bring about a parliamentary debate followed by a statutory change so that all practising hairdressers will be registered in order to work in the UK. At Francesco Group all of our stylists & colourists are q...ualified to at least Level 3 Status, this qualification incorporates advanced cutting and colouring techniques, advanced colour corrective knowledge and creative hair design. FG believe in implementing a Level 3 qualification to ensure that all of our Stylists begin their career with the tools to become successful Senior Stylists and we offer continuous training to ensure that they are always learning & improving.
Isn’t it scary to think these qualifications aren’t actually a legal requirement? In reality anyone could open up a hair salon and start cutting & colouring hair, which puts your safety at risk.
Ben Dellicompagni, also Vice Chair of The Hair & Barber Council, said:
“We have customers who think all hairdressers are highly trained professionals, yet the truth of the matter is that anyone can open up tomorrow and cut and colour hair.....We need to ensure that we are listening and doing all we can to protect consumers’ interests in our industry”.
A recent survey of 2,000 people revealed that 82% of people think hairdressers and barbers should be trained and qualified to practise in the UK, while 74% said all hairdressers and barbers should have a licence to show they have the necessary qualifications. Health and safety was another priority for consumers with 70% saying they would be concerned for their wellbeing if a hairdresser or barber was not properly trained or qualified.

My hairs been all the colours of the rainbow 🌈 and looked fabulous every time thanks to the wonder team at Northwich Francesco branch

Massive thanks to the lovely Sam at Newport who has been doing my colour for over 10 years. Last week she spent time with me discussing hair colours, my colouring, the colours of clothes I wear as well as the condition of my hair, and products that I use. She advised an Olaplex treatment, and picked out a luxe keratin conditioner for me to use along with the SP shampoo I use, going through how best to care for my hair on a daily basis. One week in using my new products and my hair is without doubt the softest and in the best condition it's ever been. Thanks to Sam who always takes the time, never rushes, genuinely wants to get it right and make me happy, and is simply brilliant at what she does. A credit to Francescos! Xx

Love my Wolverhampton salon... Friendly, attentive, professional staff every appointment I have just gets better and better... Love my stylists Mark, Jim, and Sam, they always do a superb job... Wouldnt choose or go anywhere else EVER

I have been having coming to Francesco’s since a very young girl and would sometimes be taken to Frank by my late Nanny as a treat ! I recently relocated from Stafford to Hampshire and so the time came to find a new hairdresser !!!!

I decided to visit your branch in Christchurch as Sarah Watch had been recommended to me.

It is quite a trek from my new home but what a fantastic afternoon I had.

The welcome and hospitality was lovely and Sarah was genuinely interested in what I would like to do with my hair and colour and cut.

We had great fun and I had my hair put in curlers for the very first time , so exciting !!!!

My colour and cut are great and Sarah showed gave me tips and confidence and great hair !!!!!!! Thank you xx

I have been going to the Westbourne branch for over 20 years. Paula has always cut and styled my hair beautifully. She has done such a good job that friends now go to her as well and won't go anywhere else. All the staff are friendly and eager to listen and help. I know I will always come out feeling that my hair is great.

I have been a customer of Jackie at Hanley for over 30 years (previously at Stone) and wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you want great service and result I would definitely recommend a visit
