Friends Of Swannies Field

Fancied a change of scenery this morning but his adventure was short lived and now he and public are safe thanks to Harden Hall staff, Lu Badger,Councillor Ian the PCSO’s and anyone who brought food to tempt him back over the road xx

The horse is a happy chap today,I’ve taken him a drink and he is now munching his apples and carrots,the council have served a notice on the horse so if anyone knows who the owner is can you please let them know they have 7 days to remove the horse 🐴 xx

Update- the stray horse on Swannies Field and the horses roaming round Goscote are now being dealt with by the council. We want to thank those of you that gave positive feedback to this situation today it is much appreciated. As a group we are aware of the laws of the land and we have a copy of the covenant. This is why we are working towards keeping the field in a tidy manner and enhancing it, so that members of the public and their children can enjoy it without fear or threat. Our dog walkers that use the field daily are responsible owners so they too enjoy walking the field without fear or threat of stray horses. Thank you once again for your interest in Swannies Field.

We have been made aware of a stray horse being left on Swannies Field overnight. We understand that this horse is without shelter, horse blanket and food or water. We are in the process of dealing with this but in the meantime if you know the owner could you please ask them to tend to this horse as soon as possible please.
