One of my favorite Gurdwaras of all time where anyone can make themselves at home; Bibi Ji is one of the greatest mahapursh, we did keertan & sangat with from childhood; She did us brothers dastar bandash, and we will never forget the love & daiya she gave to our family. She was related to my grandma, so we call her our BIJI.

my name is Anu my daughter is Madeleine, Maddie would love to find her grandparents and any other family that she has, we do not have much to go on, we know where her father is but he will not let her know any of his family. His name is Bhavinder Singh or known as Steve Singh, he lives in London and works as a stage manager at an event place in East London. His father is Known as Peter Singh and he moved to Scotland about 10 years ago and living in the country side, Steve and Peter both come from Birmingham where Steve's mother still lives. I know that his grandmother run's a buffalo milk farm in Punjab.

I have done all that I can to raise Maddie with her culture, we regularly attend temple but there is always going to be something huge missing for her by not knowing her family or their history please help. Attached is a photo of Steve / Bhavinder and Maddie

You get spiritualism.People can bring their Sons and Daughters for match making proposals. The Langar is exceptionally good. The sevardaar are polite. May Waheguru have kirpa on everyone who attend this Gurdwara.

The gurdwara has got a brilliant divan hall with kirtan program on some days. Something is always going on so that sangat can learn new things and visit the gurdwara more often You can find out information on the digital T V screens and the do's and don't's of what to do in the gurdwara.

Gurudwara Bebe Nanaki is a hugely important part of the community in many respects and will only be increasingly so.

One thing I have noted during my visits there is that while there are plenty of people to help in the kitchen and to do prayers, there is little or no help given in the general upkeep of the Gurudwara. i.e. keeping the hallways, stair ways, shoe areas, windows, langar hall and outside areas clean. I do what I can when I can but it’s a huge task to do alone. The Gurudwara is in daily use and needs regular cleaning with help from a team of people, not just one person. I have asked for help from several people that I know attend the Gurudwara regularly but that form of seva (volunteering) doesn’t seem to appeal to them.

If you can, please spare some time regularly to help around Bebe Nanaki Gurudwara. Gurudwaras like GNSJ on Soho Road have regular volunteers to help in every aspect of the work, so why not at Bebe Nanaki Gurudwara? They have some fantastic people that work without fail in the kitchens in order that the langar is served without any problems but they cannot be asked to take on more work at the Gurudwara. It would be physically impossible and most are elderly and cannot be asked to take on cleaning duties.

If the community cares, the younger generation should now step forward and help where they can.
