What a great experience, arrived slightly early so we had drinks in the bar and then moved into the dining area where our waitress (wish I could remember her name) was extremely attentive. Great food (smoked haddock and poached egg risotto was divine). Lovely starters that we shared, wine was great and atmosphere was spot on all this on a busy Friday evening. Good work Gusto and the team can’t wait to visit again.......got my eye on the tuna !

We were in Birmingham today and hadn’t planned on having lunch but walked past Gustos and thought how lovely it looked. We asked for a table for 2 and was told they were full but the lovely lady on front of house went out of her way to get us in. We waited in the bar and were seated within 10 mins. Our waitress Deborah was absolutely amazing, she made our whole experience prefect. The food was beautiful and so was the wine. We will definitely be back soon.

We had a fantastic evening here celebrating my fiancee's birthday. The service, food and ambience were perfect. Our server, Sarah, was brilliant and is an asset to the restaurant. I'm guessing the negative reviews and comments are from habitual moaners, too busy looking to find fault instead of enjoying their evening. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Gusto!

The food was awesome.. fast service in a very busy time of the day.. super staff with good knowledge of the food and drinks... definitely worth a return trip 😎👍🏻

Sam behind the bar and Deb, who looked after us at our table, provided excellent service. They were both really engaging and very sincere.



The food was delicious! We had the Dough Petals with caramelised onions and the Starter Sharer Board. When we are just popping in for a drink we are very likely to order these in the bar, they were fantastic.



We then had the Milanese Saffron Risotto with the 3 meat, 5 hours slow-cooked Ragu and the Sea Bass with the truffled skin-on fries. Absolutely superb.



We will definitely be back, regularly!

Excellent venue. I attended the summer launch brunch and that was great lovely food great drinks and fantastic live music with a great atmosphere. I got there for 11 am and left at 730 so had breakfast tried the orange Seville gin cocktail and the pink gin cocktail then had the Groucho burger for dinner which was perfection. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and Marcel the cocktail maker was just the best an asset to your company

Booked a table for my daughters 18th; arrived early and we were offered the option of going straight to the table or drinks at the bar. Meal was lovely and a good range of dishes to suit all including vast information and options available for those with allergies; service was attentive. Special attention to a birthday candle on the desert was a great added touch.

I've been here three times now. I highly recommend the place. The food is gorgeous and the staff made us feel really welcome. The service is great too. �

We had booked a table for four people. We got there about 15 minutes early, but they seated us very soon after. I was very disappointed that there wasn't table cloths and there was cutlery for only three people. The food was very tasty and quite good size portions. I feel that if they want to charge such high prices then the restaurant and service needs to be upgraded. We had two bottles of wine. The one costing £42 The wine was just put on the table. The waitress did not ask us to taste it Which you would expect in any restaurant.

Shambles of a restaurant. Booked table wasn’t ready on time, staff blamed it on the people before us running late. Quickly found out it was more likely caused by the food taking an hour & 30 to appear, food ok but tiny portions, then had our plates whisked away as members of the party were still eating because they needed the table again ... moved to the bar with our bill to pay there to be helpful, again waited an hour to try and pay the bill, asking 3 different staff members if we could settle to leave. Finally asked a more senior staff member who blamed our waiter for losing the bill ... although I had the original bill in my hand ... overheard others complaining ... �

It’s sad to say that this time last year I posted a 5* review of this place, however every time I have visited since it gets progressively worse. Now please let me start by saying - the food is always impeccable and has never been the issue. However the staff carry such a heavy arrogance that it’s completely uncomfortable and hostile to visit.



Apart from John - who has only ever been excellent. The staff are so rude. Giving you dirty looks as they walk past, talking about people at other tables as they stand in bunches and if you ever think of making a complaint about something that they did wrong such as serving cheese to a vegan and telling them it was vegan cheese - just be prepared for them to say it was your fault and then do everything in their power to ensure they don’t come anywhere near your table - leaving you to sit waiting for over 1 hour.



Last two occasions were two people’s Birthdays and the staff here ruined both.



Just because the food and decor seem a little more upmarket (although the price is standard) it does not mean you have to act like you own the franchise.



If you don’t have job satisfaction, find another job but don’t pass on your negativity to paying customers.



Would not recommend to anyone.

Service was diabolical place wasn’t even that busy order was incorrect item missing we then got it reordered took ages we then asked for some water for the table took ages then two lots of staff trying to give us water still nothing of the Re ordered item it finally arrived we waited as staff said they would bring new plates as had cleared original plates away, wait was so long. They never arrived with new plates we just ate from the the main plate and asked for the bill. Informed waiter Alex we were not happy he was very good and polite but just said sorry real shame as food was really really nice. Disappointed customers.

Hi Tomas. The food was great and the service was excellent. Everything came out on time and we weren’t waiting for anything as we were enjoying the atmosphere there.



The staff was very friendly and were eager to help when required and we felt a warmth feeling of the whole experience as it was our 2 year wedding anniversary.

Had lunch yesterday and it was fabulous as always! The waitress was fantastic with our 8 year old and really engaged with him, food was lovely and he really enjoyed his ‘make your own pizza’ would definitely recommend for family’s as well as those without. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon.

Had a fantastic time last night, lovely cocktails 🍸 and the food was just as good. We had the two course special which was excellent value, the salmon taglitelli was amazing as was the chicken & gnocchi main.

First time here, lovely place, good food and excellent prices. We had the set menu and still large portions and high-quality food. Friendly staff and plenty of space.. highly recommend

Fantastic meal for my moms 75th birthday, fantastic service by Catia, lovely young lady, very polite and couldn’t do enough for us whilst also looking after lots of other tables too, nothing was too much bother, will definitely be visiting again, great food, great place - loved it �

Excellent venue. I attended the summer launch brunch and that was great lovely food great drinks and fantastic live music with a great atmosphere. I got there for 11 am and left at 730 so had breakfast tried the orange Seville gin cocktail and the pink gin cocktail then had the Groucho burger for dinner which was perfection. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and Marcel the cocktail maker was just the best an asset to your company

Booked a table for my daughters 18th; arrived early and we were offered the option of going straight to the table or drinks at the bar. Meal was lovely and a good range of dishes to suit all including vast information and options available for those with allergies; service was attentive. Special attention to a birthday candle on the desert was a great added touch.

I've been here three times now. I highly recommend the place. The food is gorgeous and the staff made us feel really welcome. The service is great too. �

We had booked a table for four people. We got there about 15 minutes early, but they seated us very soon after. I was very disappointed that there wasn't table cloths and there was cutlery for only three people. The food was very tasty and quite good size portions. I feel that if they want to charge such high prices then the restaurant and service needs to be upgraded. We had two bottles of wine. The one costing £42 The wine was just put on the table. The waitress did not ask us to taste it Which you would expect in any restaurant.

Shambles of a restaurant. Booked table wasn’t ready on time, staff blamed it on the people before us running late. Quickly found out it was more likely caused by the food taking an hour & 30 to appear, food ok but tiny portions, then had our plates whisked away as members of the party were still eating because they needed the table again ... moved to the bar with our bill to pay there to be helpful, again waited an hour to try and pay the bill, asking 3 different staff members if we could settle to leave. Finally asked a more senior staff member who blamed our waiter for losing the bill ... although I had the original bill in my hand ... overheard others complaining ... �

It’s sad to say that this time last year I posted a 5* review of this place, however every time I have visited since it gets progressively worse. Now please let me start by saying - the food is always impeccable and has never been the issue. However the staff carry such a heavy arrogance that it’s completely uncomfortable and hostile to visit.



Apart from John - who has only ever been excellent. The staff are so rude. Giving you dirty looks as they walk past, talking about people at other tables as they stand in bunches and if you ever think of making a complaint about something that they did wrong such as serving cheese to a vegan and telling them it was vegan cheese - just be prepared for them to say it was your fault and then do everything in their power to ensure they don’t come anywhere near your table - leaving you to sit waiting for over 1 hour.



Last two occasions were two people’s Birthdays and the staff here ruined both.



Just because the food and decor seem a little more upmarket (although the price is standard) it does not mean you have to act like you own the franchise.



If you don’t have job satisfaction, find another job but don’t pass on your negativity to paying customers.



Would not recommend to anyone.

Food was great. Service was diabolical place wasn’t even that busy order was incorrect item missing we then got it reordered took ages we then asked for some water for the table took ages then two lots of staff trying to give us water still nothing of the Re ordered item it finally arrived we waited as staff said they would bring new plates as had cleared original plates away, wait was so long. They never arrived with new plates we just ate from the the main plate and asked for the bill. Informed waiter Alex we were not happy he was very good and polite but just said sorry real shame as food was really really nice. Disappointed customers.
